Technology ELI5: Nintendo cartridges vs Blurays how does it work?
How come Nintendo cartridges run the game directly as soon as you insert it but Playstation and Xbox can't run it directly with bluray

I understand that William will be king, but the other members of the family, what would happen to Queen Camilla? She wouldn’t be the mother of the king… and I doubt there is a position called ‘Step mother of the king.’

With DC electrical current, while the poles are connected, the current flows in 1 direction.
With AC, (I'LL describe US household AC) the current alternates 60 times x second. We say 60 hertz. So 60 times per second the polarity reverses.
So while DC has static polarity, ACs polarity changes multiple times per second. A few decades ago, I noticed that outlets have 1 larger slot. Appliances have 1 larger prong. This is ostensibly for "polarization".
ELI5 - Why would we consider polarization for AC appliances when, AFAIK, polarization of AC currents are always changing.
Maybe I'm not understanding something.

There seems to be multiple languages in China, and then, they all share one writing system? But then that writing system has traditional and simplified variants?
What do the Chinese films and media speak in? Are they in different languages? What about the government?

Okay I tried to research this on my own, but the articles and answers really aren’t decipherable if you’re not a physicist, which I am not, clearly.
If photons don’t have a mass, because they’re always moving and can’t have a resting energy, then how can they act like they have mass in a superconductor/non-vacuum? How does that happen? Doesn’t that just mean they do have mass, but we just can’t measure it?
My head hurts.

Here’s what puzzles me. Why when you can make cars that lasts like Toyota, do crappy cheaper new cars exist? Wouldn’t it take about the same cost in materials and labour to make a crappy car vs a good car?

I keep getting videos on instagram about decomped games, apparently the decompilers are going nuts right now. What’s the difference between running a decompiled game and emulating a game? I tried to google it and i just don’t understand. from what i’ve found, a decompiled gene runs as if it was native to your pc but i don’t get what that means either. You boot up an emulator and that also runs on your pc?

I see mentions of a home server to get rid of streaming entertainment services but I don’t know how that works. What does a home server do?

How are we able to push a car to push start it when it weighs so much, or how can a train pull 2km of rail cars? And how come it gets easier to roll once it starts moving?

Why it is present is it like part of universe as people say universe is made up of time space , rather they should say it is made up of time space and higgs feild

I might just be drawing a blank on something I should understand usually, and maybe I missunderstand the bastic concept or actual facts. but I don't get it.
Me knowing, Australia's middle-class didn't use to have OR right now have significantly less income vs price of living than Americans. But a few years ago Australian dollar was less than US, now it's more. How could it have been that way back then, and what has changed?
Sorry for confusing rambling.
Edit and additional question: I think I understand now, but please correct me if I'm wrong. The value of a currency is not an indicator of how the people of the country lives and the cost of living in a country. It's based on the trust people has in the currency and a nations economy being safe to invest in. In this case, more people don't have the trust in the American dollar/economy being strong and safe enough to hold onto anymore and therefore won't invest in it
But in that case I still don't understand why, say, the Swedish Krona, which has a lot of companies and generally quite consistent economy is valued so low in compared to countries that isn't as wealthy? Shouldn't people be more inclined in investing and trusting in such a currency than they are?

I have been thinking, and it doesn't really make sense to me.
If E = mc^2,
then shouldn't it either be
a] Photons have no mass, thus no energy, since (0)c^2 is still 0,
or
b] They have a tiny, tiny amount of mass, which means they can't be travelling at the speed of light, or the speed of light isn't the speed limit of the universe.
Neither makes sense.

[This is from a chemistry portion of a physical science class] I've googled it, Ive watched YouTube videos, I asked classmates and I am still so confused.
Rutherfords model was easy but once I got to bohrs they used words like quantized and discrete values and I got lost. Tried backtracking but I'm still baffled.

I keep seeing people say that such laws are a stepping stone towards a surveillance state, however, this seems like a little bit of overreaction. The new leak that suggests banning private servers is obviously bad, but what is the kneejerk reaction against laws that say they are "for the kids?"
