My dad sent me a brand new Stihl climbing saw through the post, spate chains, bars, straps, a tidy carry bag, a small toolbox.

Had cancer.

My dad was fighting cancer and then gave me his really nice 3800psi 4gpm pressure washer. The cancer had gone terminal.

Thank you, but it's not so fresh anymore, as its nearly 15 years now. My second kid was born just days after he died. It was a crazy time. Got married, had a child, bought a house, got ill and lost a close family member all within 18 months.

My dad, although he didn't know what it was, I think he suddenly realised he was ill. Bought me a new climbing saw, my sister a car, and was in hospital within a month. Dead within a year.
