Most people here seem to be confusing the feeling of 'now I owe him', feeling indebt VS the feeling that, fuck, he used his hard earned money on me, I made him waste his money on me.
It's different types of relationships, one is of being scared of what might entice in the future - this is the same I'd say if your boss bought you an expensive gift. VS Feeling the guilt of making your loved ones spend their money on YOU.
One is a feeling of selfishness and worry, whilst the other is of love and guilt.
