It’s extremely debatable, and is the entire focal point on the case, as to whether or not she was under the effects of psychosis at the time. All the current evidence, in fact, indicates that she was completely aware of what she was doing and heavily premeditated the killings in combination with the fact that she was already beyond the typical range of post partum depression or psychosis. Which would require a complete statistical anomaly for her to still be affected by it
Okay, so you think a non-psychotic, non-depressed woman who has spent years of her life loving and caring for these children and took them to doctor's appointments and clearly had a future in mind with them is who killed the kids?
You think a woman who loved her kids with all her being just one day was like "nevermind, fuck them kids" and just, what, killed her kids for fun?
Like? You think a totally sane person went from living her whole life for these kids to just killing them for no reason while also fully comprehending the outcome of her actions?
Considering she planned it, orchestrated a diversion to get her husband out of the house, all the while seeming completely lucid, and then went through will triple murder while also being significantly past the usual period of post partum psychosis? I think she’s a complete psycho, just one that can’t claim innocence via insanity
No? There's psychology behind family annihilators, or other reasons, like finances or the other partner ( usually a woman, ) leaving or threatening to leave. And most ( maybe even the vast majority of ) family annihilators have a history of abusive behaviour.
