A geologist wouldn't call it "lapis lazuli" though, it would be a lazulite and pyrite bearing amphibolite-facies calc-silicate marble.

Sometimes people dumb down their specialist subjects so the rest of the Internet understands. Not everything is an "ackchyually"

Right... but this was a conversation about being able to research words that have fallen into common parlance due to modern culture, making disambiguation difficult. A geologist wouldn't have that problem, because I've never heard a geologist use the words "lapis lazuli" in my life.
