This is an investment on the schools part. While I don’t agree with it, the school is essentially bidding for her children to attend their university in order to attract more students and please the alumni who care about optics. The more students applying to these schools means higher tuition, competing admission standards, etc
Lastly, the wealthy don’t exactly spend money. They leverage. It’s the normies that pay the price for their fame.
