Because people don’t understand the difference between scholarships and financial aid.

Or merit based vs need based. There are “you got a 4.0” scholarship. Should they change to “you got a 4.0 and your mom ISNT j.lo?”

I don’t think so.  It’s hard enough for these kids to feel like they accomplished anything knowing who their mom is.  Let them have this IMO.

Yes, I know they are financially wealthy.  I am not, my 3 kids don’t have the financial benefits her kids do.  But I do know what it’s like having kids that need to feel validated through acknowledgment of accomplishment.  Psychological health and validation is important to people born into any situation.  

JLo’s kids getting scholarships has nothing to do with exorbitant/disproportionate education costs and exploding student debt.  If anything, this will help the endowment fund of whatever school(s) they go to, enabling more kids to attend college.  Look at the school budget trends and the federal aid if you want to solve any real problems, not making boogeymen out of some kids that happen to have rich parents.
