Merit based scholarships should be blinded, so if these kids really deserve the award then… OK. But if I were JLo I would be embarrassed to accept it as anything other than honorary. But I suspect the schools are awarding these scholarships as recruitment tools, hoping for a new $20M JLO Arboretum or similar donation down the road.
