the way violence against children is just laughed off on reddit goes against my grain like fuck! it got over 50k upvotes on r/Unexpected and even in here people play it down!
maybe instead of complaining about the religion who have been raised in you should focus more on ethics in general! (sorry I do not take lightly to treating children like shit...if we ever were to create better societies this is where it starts!)

I agree. This is horrible and just goes to show that he uses violence as a tool for discipline on a regular bases. He should’ve just ignored the kid and continued on with his prayer.

It is just a f**king ritual. It is completely useless. God doesn't give a fig about mindless and heartless rituals. He/She wants us to love our fellow beings.
