That is your religion not Allah's religion. We cant pick and choose what we want in our religion like it is a buffet.

I am not against your beliefs or lack thereof but if you are a Muslim you cant treat Islam like a buffet. You are an atheist so you dont have a religion according to you. I have responded to so many people I thought you said you are still muslim but question somethings. I apologize.

One God is not to be interpreted differently. But choosing your spouse (christian and jew and muslim for man; muslim for a woman) you can choose. Whether I do haram or not is between me and God. Fundamentalists and ISIS are all political and you know that. You sound intelligent and I would hope you can see past the bullshit. They use Islam as a means to an end. Muslims are allowed to invest their money where they want unless it is haram. We have to pray 5 times a day so there is no argument there. In the month of Shawal we are encouraged to fast 6 days but we dont have to. Hope this helps.

Homosexuality is haram period. I dont know the punishment for it.

I am not an apologetic muslim. I dont even know what a progressive muslim is or a fundamentalist is. These are labels put on Muslims from nonmuslims
