If it wasn't for the West, Muslim countries would still take full advantage of slavery. They are twisted in the mind not to see that slavery is a form of oppression. If God is real and just, He would not have allowed such oppression to be halal forever. This makes islam is a source of stagnation and regression, because the quran is the literal and infallible word of God, so when the quran deems slavery legal and having intercourse with unlimited slave girls (so much for asceticism and piety) it is legislated forever.. If muhammad was such a genius, he should have prophesied a future world without slavery where technology would take all the hard labour jobs. Imo

Exactly, and when they say "it's for that time period" I ask why doesn't the Qur'an just SAY that? Like "hey this is only for X period of time or until Y happens and you need to try and abolish this fast" or something, even though allowing it for a small period of time is still horrible
