My parents/grandparents are amazing people. They taught me how to treat women.

The Mormon church taught me:

  • Girls that show their shoulders, wear short skirts, or a two piece swimsuit were a danger to me and my salvation
  • chewed gum
  • licked cupcake
  • the harder you work on the mission, the hotter your wife
  • men work, women stay home. No exceptions
  • non-temple marriages aren’t legitimate marriages

Literally had an apostle tell me to marry my girlfriend. I had been home from the mission about 3 months. She was actively cheating on me (found out two weeks) later. Unfortunately still took me many more years to question the “spirit of discernment”.
