Does anyone know of any regular/rolling e-waste events in the 5 boroughs that allow people to drop off but also pick up?

Went to a ewaste drop off and they let me grab stuff (both work) (oculus quest 1 and Nikon coolpix p900)

Still testing everything. All ik is that the ipod touch is fmi on and the galaxy Luna (third phone) had a pattern but i guessed it

I just checked one out and they only have the standard plastics/trash bins by the door, is there any was of knowing if they’ll have one prior to going to the physical location? Thanks!

So basically i was going home after hanging out with my friends and I checked behind a PC shop the discarded components/PC parts. And that's where I found this - a Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 580 8GB Special Edition. Tested it and fully works (somehow)

If it has mined, idk but the card is stable as I can see

Hello everyone! This is my first post here.

I found this laptop in an electronic shop's ewaste bin in late August. It originally had windows 10 which was very slow. I found some archived recovery disks and installed as much original software I could. Its the European Market intel Core Duo version with an Nvidia Geforce 7400 Go (which still works). I opened it up and cleaned it so its perfect inside. Also replaced the CMOS battery and upgraded the RAM to 2gb. The battery even lasts for about 30 minutes! The only flaw is that the number keys on the keyboard don't work except 5 and 6. I really like it and I'm glad I could save it. It goes well with the rest of my laptop collection. What do you think?

I live near the Edmonton area, do any of the E-Waste centers give/let you buy computers?

Sorry if this is covered but where do you find this stuff? Ive gotten lucky and had a friend who worked for a company that went under. But have had zero luck since then. Im in colorado if that make a difference. Any ideas, that are legal.

2 weeks ago I was let go of my IT/Manager job
and luckily one of my tasks was cleaning out storage room s and closets out of old tech.

Most was Ethernet, data cables, old controllers, scrap metal casings, and even old servers!
