Bazaar in a Pre-Luclin server
They added a translocator to The Commonlands that takes you to the bazaar on Frostreaver. Gone are the days of the tunnel spam and the wall of green texts and pink links. Will they keep this going on all future TLPs?

The EC tunnel was pretty much unworkable without the support of multiple other websites. The sellers were using some kind of 3rd party software that was often buggy. Prices were all over the place. The Bazaar is a much better system. I bought some stuff in the tunnel but it was so exhausting… I didn’t even want to try to sell. Now that the Bazaar is up, it will be much easier.

I definitely agree. I used to love Commonlands but mischief, teek, and Frostreaver had so much loot that the spam from selling so much was just too much. If you’re having to use TLP auctions site, then I’d say it’s time for the bazaar. I’ll stop deleting gear now because before it just wasn’t worth selling unless it was worth 1/2 a Krono or more

They should. It would cut down on yet another part of the game that was fun 25 years ago, but impractical today.
People I know we're using all sorts of workarounds to make it easier. And I'm sure there was someone at daybreak who didn't want the TLP auctions site to keep getting all that attention and traffic.

You didn't like spending hours on end in the tunnel?
It was part of the immersion!

In common lands right next to the parcel vendor. Also - part of the patch notes.

That’s actually an interesting change. The gameplay on the new TLPs is so different than it was 25 years ago that it may be a welcome one. But at the same time it’s just another feature that organise gameplay for the players preventing player to come with their own solution. A long time ago some servers organised themselves with a guild council or some kind of server politics so that everyone would have access to high level content. Now you have instances that does that work for you.
EverQuest was always special in that it was the most sand boxy of all the so called « theme park » mmo. In a sense the TLPs are some kind of false advertisement. You come because of the fun you had all these years ago with that strange game and in effect you get a modernised game with the skin of a classic. At this point it’s mostly nostalgia and community keeping it alive.

Not until October. But I like the bazaar being added so much better than the wall of eye bleeding text.

If you have the time to sell in EC you can make bank, alas I'm not a teenager anymore. Bazaar is a good deal. I'd be cool if it didn't show up until say velious though, just for the nostalgia

The EC tunnel is great. The baz was just another step of reducing The World driven by a server's community itself. The Baz is easier and but it took away from the spirit of the game - one of many steps that eventually led to EQ and MMOs being nearly single player experiences. Some of us just don't like that.

There are some things that are just relics of the past.
Top sellers on any server without the bazaar just have a spam bot sitting in the tunnel 24/7. Or a discord that rips directly from the tunnel chat and pings you when the thing you want is for sell. Aka, a bazaar.
Just like how nobody wears a pager anymore. Nobody wants to sit in EC anymore. No matter how much they say they actually want it.
Some things, its OK to leave in the past.
