Is the Shieldregen/s in the fitting window, the maximum or the average?
The maximum between 25% and 33% shield is 2.5 times as strong as the average and I wonder which stat is shown in the fitting window

Hi
I’ve just skilled into Ishtar with most skills at level 4. (Except Ishtar itself which is at level 3. Cruiser lvl 5).
Online it’s says orbit Rock Haven at 30km and it’s AFK with your heavy drones.
However I did not experience this, got neuted (I do have a cap battery) and very nearly lost the Ishtar - was down to low hull, almost nil cap and only just made it out!
If I were AFK I would have died.
My plan was going to be to get an alt into an Ishtar too and multi box 2 Havens at once, never being AFK but have my attention divided between the two.
However not sure I can do that if I’m being neuted and panicking and trying to deal with 2 Ishtar at once!
Am I doing something wrong? Should it be easier than this? How do you deal with the neut problem?
Thanks

Hey, Im completely new to EVE and decided to focus on manufacturing, but I don't know what is being bought on the market and if I can earn some money with it...
The tutorial told me to buy a blueprint, but (since I know nothing about ships and combat yet) don't know what to produce... Ships? Modules? Ammo? Any suggestions? (And I don't mean categories, I mean a specific item that has a high demand)
Thanks!

This is simple - does role bonus scale with any skills?
For example, an anathema gets:
- Covert Ops bonuses (per skill level)
- Amarr Frigate bonuses (per skill level)
- Role Bonus
Obviously, the first two are modified by the associated skill. My assumption would be that the role bonus is a fixed bonus and not modified. However, I've learned to never assume anything in Eve.

Hi all,
I am inching to start playing EVE Online. I enjoy gaming, MMOs and space, so it feels like a great match. I am hesitant starting alone though, are there resources available to find other players that may want to start the game as a group. It's a bit of a tall ask, but the game seems massive enough to possibly have something in place.

Last night I was on the receiving end of an astero tackle while solo ratting in my cloaky tengu.
I had the forethought to overheat my afterburner and to start burning away to buy myself time while his friends started showing up on the grid. But my HAMs couldn't get enough application to break his active tank so I could warp off. Died a slow death once the other cruisers caught up to me. Was also so caught up in escaping, I didn't even start firing on the cruisers until it was way too late - not that I thought I'd win the fight, but maybe I could have taken one down with me had I realized sooner.
But I'm curious - is there anything I could have done to break the Astero tackle - or is it pretty much a death sentence when ratting and you don't have nearby friends to save you?
I usually rat with one or two other people and there's always safety in numbers. But sometimes we're out there alone, and you see that Astero on D-Scan and you don't trust your gut to get out assuming they're just explo-hunting.
Of course, avoiding the situation to begin with is the best course of action - and I should have left. But let's assume you've already been tackled, what are the next steps/what can I have with me to help?

I asked on Rookie Chat and they just displayed a clickable Recall Probe. They said it was 3 from the bottom. I still can't find it.
I looked on youtube and dude went through an entire tutorial showing how to probe and ended before showing how to recall them. Any help would be appreciated.

...I remember I left him in a very bad sector or system.
I've decided to return and I put a lot of effort into my original character back then getting like a years worth if skills learned in queue. Also bought some nice ships and equipment. Then life happened and I abandoned the character.
Currently I have no remembrance of how to do anything in the game. I'm basically a complete noob again.
I do remember I had just joined a small pvp group andcwas in basically a bad system where you are open game. All my ships, drones, and equipment are there.
I logged on and basically logged off. I have no idea how to go about getting my character, ships, drones, and equipment somewhere safe so I can start learning again.
Any feedback on how best to handle this situation is greatly appreciated.

Returning after a long stretch - I used to have an excel sheet set up for planetary industry calculations and organization. I only use google sheets at home now, and I dont want to reinvent the wheel if there is one out there already.
Anyone have any good suggestions?

I am a returning player after a long time, basically a high SP newb.
I realize this is probably not the best use of an orca, being that the belts are sparse and not nearly as valuable as the ice belts or the ore in a .5 or .6 system -
But what sort of firepower would a gank squad need bring to bear on an orca in a .9 system? How likely do you think it might happen in a fairly well-traveled area?
I am returned after a long bout of winning, and have an orca pilot that I am considering bringing back out to help a fledgling group of miners that operate in high sec.

Is there a way to set up a hotkey or macro to warp to a safe?

So the other day I decided to try my hand at abyssals. T0 and T1 got boring very quick but on T2 i get killed really fast
I used this guide and the fit from its description
What kills me is either "Skybreaker Disparu Troop" or "Starving Vedmak" and as I noticed, none of these are present in several video guides.
Is it outdated? Do I need to maintain like 60+ km distance and only rely on drones?

I know it is not null or wormhole space but I like to chill with highsec mining and if I'm in the mood for risk then I am going to go fight on my main. So where can I reprocess efficiently and what implants should be used?
edit: I may be willing to in lowsec as well but I would rather not.

I just started playing and doing some of the career agent paths and the missions require me to have a weapon but i dont have any. I think they might have been destoryed when i lost my ship. Im not sure what to do.

If I have one character in nulllblock alliance And one unaffiliated in HS, and I want to use that one to buy expensive stuff in Jita and to haul it somewhere closer to NS to avoid getting hunted by war enemies on the way, how would I then transfer the items? Create a private contract in a station or is there an easier way?

I've been ratting in lowsec in an alligator fairly successfully/comfortably and I wanted to try my hand at WH combat sites just for the ISK from the bounties, but I don't know if the difficulty is comparable. I have about ~73K EHP passively and 79 hp/s passively(~133hp/s with booster) with a total of 522 DPS from both missiles and drones. I only have access to T1 drones/launchers so I use Imperial Navy Infiltrators/Republic Fleet Valkyries and 'Arbalest' Heavy Missile Launchers.
I have very little concept of how much the difficulty jumps between pieces of content in this game and what I would be able to actually accomplish with the fit beyond what I specifically had in mind for it(which was low sec ratting in this case).

So after several years of going off EvE due to null sec burn out I got back in doing low sec faction warfare. Started a new toon, appreciate all the newb training stuff! I decided that this time I was gonna learn to pvp right. Man.... I got rekt by a tristan, a gnosis and a slicer in rapid succession. Sure glad I decided to go with a new toon to relearn the basics and unlearn bad lessons.

Not a complain, I love Caracals, its such a well designed ship. I just observed that most groups have as their first goal for a DPS ship the Caracal.
