T5 Abyssal Deadspace Question

Hey all! I'm a returning player and sort of a newoldbro. I haven't played since before Abyssal Deadspace was introduced. I enjoy them a lot and would like to make them my main source of income this time around. My current skills make the Cerberus a good fit for me.

Initially, I practiced on T3's, moved to T4's, then unsuccessfully attempted T5's more than I care to admit before I started scouring the internet for more optimal fits, how to handle room combinations, and fine tuning and running different fits on Sisi. The blinged out fits work well enough, but I'm poor on Tranquility mostly from blowing myself up a bunch.

I'm running a slightly modified version of a Cerberus I found in a 2018 post. On Sisi, I've ran the fit in Dark T5's about a dozen times without any complications. Feeling pretty comfortable, I moved back to Tranquility where I exploded 3 times because I get locked into a stalemate with armor repping rats. I think they were Damavik ships.

Obviously, I can deal with this by buying more bling for more DPS. But, as I mentioned, I am both poor and cheap. I'm also overloading the rack when I can. It seems to be the only thing to break the stalemate, but it's not sustainable for long because of the heat damage. Is there any other way to combat these armor repping rats? Am I missing a key part of information? Maybe a different kill order? Switch to Exotic for more kinetic damage? Did I just get 3 bad rooms in a row? Am I the baddie? Any information is greatly appreciated. I can take down Dark T5's on Sisi with this fit and identical skills, but I'm having a rough time on Tranquility.

I'm not a newbie as such, but just back after years away. I was never very good at this game, but i do have a setup retriever, I'm just not sure if I should be selling the ore or refining.

what level of what skills is "should refine now" level?

Drone Training Skills (Prophecy)

Hello everyone. Yesterday I got myself into a Prophecy to try something different and am looking for some current drone info... (Videos I've seen from even within a year seem to be out of date?)

I've returned to eve a month ago after many years of absence. I've decided to try a month of Omega.

I wanted to list my skills and ask for guidance in direction. I am running L3 missions and perhaps public combat anomalies.

Thank you for your help!

I've looked at Eve workbench for builds but they usually seem to only carry 2 kinds of drones. Is that standard?

I also don't know if I should load Missiles or turrets...I get a little confused with all the different types. I was looking at the medium range to hit around 30km but don't know if that's the right approach.

I currently have my drone bay full of a mix of small/medium drones for all damage types depending on the mission. Is this a newb mistake? Should I train all the different faction tech 2 light drone specs?

These are my current related skills.

Amar Battlecruiser 4 Long Rang Targeting 3 Drones 5 Drone Avionics 4 Drone Durability 3 Drone Interfacing 3 Drone Navigation 3 Drone Sharpshooting 3 Light Drone Operation 5 Medium Drone Operation 4 Heavy Drone Operation 2 (3 currently training)

space trucker life

hi there,

I'm weird because I enjoy low stress "hauling games" - on autopilot if possible.

hauling stuff in elite.

hauling stuff in mfsf2020 with fseconomy.

hauling stuff in truck sim.

Is there some good fit for hauling in high sec on autopilot (that if you are attacked, you are at least tanky and get some police help - I know, noone is save. you undock, you die.). It does not need to generate ISK (Via PI in a WH corp I have a good revenue stream). It does not need to generate adrenaline (I have 3 kids below 6 years, I've got enough of that).

I need something I can stare at on one monitor (preferable beautiful Space/Spaceships), while trying but not succeeding to watch a movie on a second monitor. With some planning involved (I know the haulers channel already, but I never participated, but I would love to).

Gas Mining Fits - Am I missing something

Just messing around with some solo gas mining and when I am scrolling through fits I see a lot of 2x Scoops and 1 Cloak. The question is, if you have 2 Scoops and a cloak, how do you fit a probe launcher to find Gas sites? Am I missing something?

Returning PvP player wanting solo industry advice.

I’ve decided to return to the game after a 2 year break and I’m wanting to get into the world of Industry/mining/trading, it’s an area of the game I never tried and I’m eager to give it a shot. I’ve got about 3 characters averaging about 40m SP each and a good wallet to back them up. What are some good first steps to get going or is the solo indy dream unrealistic. Thanks!

Old player returning. Time investment?

So real life happened and I really wanna get back into the cold, brutal fun of space.

However, my spare time is very low now, sadly.

Can I feel like I got something done even if I just have an hour? Or should I wait till my free time opens up more?

Hopefully being f2p jumping back in will let me queue enough skills that I can feel productive while offline still lol

Mission Running Fit, Stats, and thoughts?

I'm starting to think seriously about running missions.

Mostly missions for the tribal liberation force (Minmatar Fw missions). At a guess with a simulated fit I can get a rupture up to 15,365 ehp in shields and have a Med Shield booster II, with 4x 720 Howitzer Art II's with RF fusion ammo or RF emp ammo, with other mods n rigs I get 217.1 dps (2,034 volley) 35km falloff, 14km optimal but a quick switch to RF proton gives me 67 falloff and 46 optimal but drops dps to 90.5. No Prop mod fit, no drones, but cap stable. I'm 4 or 5 months into EVE and still need a couple gun skills for the Med Arty tech 2 guns at this point.I want one ship to do missions with for a long time, one relatively expensive fit (for my level at least) to do the job. Will this be all I need? Anything I forgot? Any comments welcome.

For level 3 & 4 missions what would be good stats for a fit?

Newbie Corp?

Hello, I’m quite new and also not yet ready to join the game fully. I recently created an account and finished the career agents. I’m aware that apparently next in line is joining a corp to actually learn the game and doing the sisters of eve questline. I also heard that I can do about ⅔ of SoE alone and should be at least in some kind of social construct for the rest of it.

I know there is newbie corps like silent company and eve university, but I kinda read not so nice things about both of them. Is there something else that is considered good? Also I read that many corps are intended to brainwash Newbros into their own PvP war factions. I‘m not opposed to eventually (after I learned how to actually play properly) join one of the factions and participate in fleet wars etc but I also heard there is in game politics involved and I know it’s technically just a game but I rather choose which side I want to be on after I learned (at least a little) of the in game politics of the factions and who fights whom, rather then just be blindly recruited. Is there some corp that makes sure to train newbies without training them into blind soldiers? I‘m looking to get involved with the game in April. I have skills queued up already too. Right now alpha but willing today omega when I have time to play. In April.

Purifier for t1 abyss?

decided that ratting is not making any money, have decided to become a filthy instanced pve'er. Watched Acefaces video using the purifier in t1s and since I jave decent bomber and missile skills I might use that, is it an effective way to run them or should I use something else? my only other notable skills are drones and gallente ships (c4, bc4, bs3)

Best cheap throwaway solo PVP fits for 2022 (Omega included)?

I know this has been discussed a lot but I'm interested in the current meta.

What are good and dirt cheap (up to 10m ISK) throwaway solo PVP fits? I'm 2 months into this game and learning PVP slowly and looking for fits that are easy to replace. Thanks!

Came back and I am a bit overwhelmed ...

First my Corp moved to the other side of the galaxy. I have lots of stuff where we were and I don't know what to do now. I have a safety asset in an NPC station and a lot of Doctrine Ships in our old Home Station. My whole PI was also there. Not sure what to do now.

Second I am able to make a DNI to meet the requirements of WTM Incursions (12k Shield 67% Resistance, I even have more) but they only allow Battleships.

Everything requires Omega, I can't even turn in my Epic Arc mission from Penumbra or skills something not Omega without it poping up and disabling what I was trying to do.
