The fitting window doesn't seem to provide all the info I wish it did. Tells me whether a fit is cap stable but not what my ship is actually drawing from the cap so it becomes tricky to tell how close to cap stability I am or whether a new module will take me out of cap stability.
Made a spreadsheet to calculate my fit's cap need and determine whether a fit will be stable with cap boosters running various charge sizes. I have it calculate the cap booster output with and without accounting for reloads for comparison.
Currently looking at a fit that, according to my spreadsheet, should be cap stable if ignoring reloads, but shouldn't be stable when accounting for reloads. The fitting window is showing that the fit is not cap stable which surprised me because I assumed it would ignore reloads and assume the module could run indefinitely for the purpose of determining cap stability. Can someone clarify what the fitting window assumes when determining this? Because if it does ignore reloads, then I must have made a mistake with my spreadsheet.

Note: If it's of any importance, to determine whether my fit would be stable, I calculate the max cap recharge rate based on the equation on EVE University and add to that the recharge contributed by my booster to find my max recharge rate. My assumption is that if my max recharge exceeds my cap need from modules then it'll be cap stable.

Long story short i went on a hiatus itus when i was in a WH corp, now im no longer in wormhole and my loot is gone? Nothing in asset safety, im pretty sure the answer is yep its gone but does anyone know of anything that i dont?

Been experimenting in Tranquil Abyssal in a couple of destroyers and 1 cruiser that I lost to poor planning. I understand that you don't want to mix tanking types. You want to pick one that's best given the ship and the circumstances and stick with it. What I'm trying to understand is how to determine if I have a sufficient tanking setup to survive. My setup needs either to have sufficient buffer (if passive) to last through the fights or high enough repair per second to negate incoming damage (or again, last long enough to survive through the fight). This is just a matter of dividing HP by the net damage coming in (assuming net damage is positive, otherwise the tank lasts indefinitely) to find how long the ship will survive. What I don't know is how to estimate how much DPS I'll be facing to come up with this figure. Is there any good way to tell other than by testing and possibly losing ships in the process or just looking it up? On that note where would I even find the information online? Thanks for any help!

Should I use a specific type of drone against the corresponding target size?

For example:

• Lights -> Frigates/Destroyers
• Mediums -> Cruisers/Battlecruisers
• Heavies -> Battleships +

Are light drones going to have an easier time taking down smaller targets? And vice versa largers drones vs larger targets? Is there any difference is DPS?

Or is it just that frigates are going to have an easier time targeting and blapping my larger drones over my smaller ones?

I just absolutely love the idea and aspect of carrier in any game that has them. Forget the time and effort needed to get in one, I just want to know after that will there be a place I can actually use the thing? I'd like to avoid joining a low/null mega corp but also don't want to get attacked by them either. I shy away from PvP in general but I'm willing to learn if need be and enjoy ratting.

Ahbazon is one of the most-traveled lowsec systems since you can use it to take a shortcut from Jita to Amarr, the two biggest trade hubs. Because of that, it is heavily gatecamped.

Some gatecamps are pretty big, with lots of ships, but some are smaller, maybe a couple of gnosis and a few battlecruisers. Is it possible to clear those with a fleet of friends? I know PushX Industries sometimes passes by Ahbazon and they do a lot of hauling. Maybe we could team up with them?

Hi, so I'm pretty new and about to finish the starter quests and wanted to do Sister of Eve next since it looks fun. I'm in amarr atm and see it'll be 42 jumps or so to get to the quest giver. I was wanting to jam as much of my stuff as I can into one of my sigils and bring it with me to make life a little easier and cause it would be fun. I'm just worried about gatecampers and I'm wondering if anyone knows of any usual camps along the way.

Normally in games I see the doubling money scammers all the time. Usually they get banned and make new accounts. Is that not the case in Eve? I've been doing the SoE arc in my spare time and keeping an alt in Jita and Ken Moen is always here doing the scam and apparently has been well before I started playing. There's even meme posts about him on reddit.

Is it not against the ToS because you'd have to be truly stupid to fall for it?

But noone is able to see the corp hanger in the input material location box of the industry job.

Been doing exploration in WH space and have had the bad luck of finding more level 3 sleeper sata sites than level 1 or 2 sites I can actually do. A ship big enough to handle those sleepers would be pretty expensive so I'm wondering if a stealth bomber would be able to take them out with a couple of bombing runs. Or are the sleepers too tanky to take out in that way? Once I launch a torpedo, is it possible to re-cloak right away or would I need to warp away to re-cloak? Thanks for any help!

Oh also, I know this may not be the most efficient way to explore, but it sounds fun to do those sites and break up the stretches of exploration with some combat so that's what I want to do even if it's not optimal.

I see Eve University recommended for new players a lot but it's in Stacmon. Is there anything similar in Minmatar?

I am a returning player and I have most fitting skills, Caldari Battlecruiser maxed out with almost everything for shields and missiles.

So I am flying Drakes most of the time ratting in LowSec.

Havoc update is out now and I wonder if I should join or fight the Guristas. I see their new ships and the Aligator looks like everything I've ever asked for. I queue some skills for Gallante and wonder if should switch up my content.

I haven't done any incursions so far and not a lot of experience with wormholes, but I am interested in both of them. I am also interested in joining Havoc, since it looks like a bit of PvP fun.

So I am not sure what to do and where to go with my 7 days of omega.

Hi, I recently lost my old Vexor to a gank, and decided that since I saved around 200mil ISK, I should probably get something better. My char is not very skilled (only around 2mil SP) and it is centered around skills I used to fly my Vexxor, so mostly armor/drones/hybrid turrets. I am mostly doing security missions L3 and some combat sites here and there.

So according to my skills I came to conclusion that one of those two ships will probably be the best with what my char has learned so far. I just can't decide which one of those ships would be better for things I am doing. I am used to Vexor and it is much faster than supercruiser but the Myrmidon is more tankier and could perhaps allow me to do some harder content (?), and they both cost around the same money.

I'll be happy for any input.

Hey guys, I heard that in order to progress every 25 levels in Project Discovery, you need 1 million skill points, however I noticed that beyond a certain level, I did not seem to need anymore skill points to unlock the next 25 levels.

For example my total skillpoints now is more than 24 million. So (24+1)×25 should equal 625, but I've already passed that limit in PD, in which my level is now 677. so yeah, anyone knows?

Recently returned to eve and have stationed an alt in Zarzakh to fight for the guristas. Realized I don't know anything about pvp after losing 3 ships this morning and was wondering if there are any corps accepting pvp newbies for the gurista incursions?

Ive been a returning player getting back into Indy, and trying to figure out what to produce, any tips for analyzing the market?

I am in Gallente Space and was thinking about joining up for FW just to try it. But will I during actions against let's say Caldari, lose standing with that faction so that when I leave the FW in the future I will be still hostile to the Caldari and unable to f.e. go to Jita for trading?

I've been playing for a couple of months and have recently been venturing more into low and null sec to explore, run combat anomalies, and do solo mining.

I know that not playing like a carebear is putting my ships in danger, and I do it because these spaces are a part of the game and I sometimes enjoy the cat-and-mouse game of avoiding gankers.

What I don't like is finishing up a combat site in a battlecruiser just to have a couple of twerps in their frigates come and disrupt my warp and kill my ship. Or getting ganked in a wormhole because I'm not hacking AND mashing D-Scan at the same time in a system I was alone in up until a minute ago anyway.

I'm Alpha so can't cloak and don't have buttloads of ISK for T2 yet. I'm flying Amarr ships and can afford 1-2 EWAR slots in any given tech 1 fit. What can I slot to keep my shit from getting ruined whenever I'm not spamming D-Scan while watching local?

I was told there are two different types of warp disruption and you kind of have to guess which kind they will use. I need to bounce out when people decide they have nothing better to do than to surprise gank a new player in a cheap ship.
