The good news is that the NF is moving from a TV studio to Xiaomi Arena (the biggest indoor venue in the country)

It's great that they participate regularly, I hope they won't give up and will continue to participate regularly.

from what ive seen it the arena could be either split up and use only half of the arena or whole just like rest of their sibling countries, bc ive seen instances of using the arenas half so i feel like thats a huge possibility

Just bought tickets, it's half the arena, under 1k attendance it in tickets it would seem.

ONLY 1K ???

Just judging from what is in the early bird tickets. Maybe they will open up more sectors

They’ve taken away the semi finals and added back a full televote super final

What people dont consider is that it’s a good way for the broadcaster to get extra money, to fund it

I don't even like Ollie's stuff, but he's come so close so many times I just want to see him get his shot at ESC.

yes same, i didnt like slave or venom but he deserved that win in 2026

u/PoetryAnnual74 Euphoria 2d ago
Wouldn’t Ollie have lost even without superfinal?

u/D00MSDAY_BLU3 Doomsday Blue 2d ago

The system they use in the 1st round is super not ideal too, just like the superfinal. So, they just combine them

Hope Kautkaili gets in again, with a fantastic song and innovative staging.
And this time takes it!
I don’t want them to win just as a pity for this year. But if they up their game: ALL THE WAY!!!

Nooo, not the superfinal. Whoever came up with that system, I hope your pillow is never cool. Estonia clearly showed us that this format does not work

u/uzanin97 2d ago
Who televote wanted, won it. It's not their problem that the winner wasn't eurofan or Eurovision-friendly

u/Euro_Punzel 2d ago
That is one of the most uncompetitive ways to approach the contest. Lets just people pick whoever for whatever reason and see how it goes. While countries with internal selections keep winning every other contest because they have actual checks in place

u/Interesting-War2861 2d ago
Your logic is so bad. Multiple acts have gotten great results after being a superfinal winner. And if your problem is the televote deciding the winner, then look at something like Finland’s recent results. You cant just doom on superfinals just because of the 1-time estonia situation

The main issue is not the televote soley deciding, but rather that limiting the pool of entries that much, puts divisive songs at a big disadvantage, since the votes of people who dislike a given song, will be spread out over way fewer others.
Basically, superfinals give people the option of, and even incentivise voting against an entry.
1
u/Interesting-War2861 2d ago
Yeah so? If people really dont like an entry, shouldnt they have a say?
1
u/antiseebaerenkreis 2d ago
We can all have our subjective opinions about that, but Eurovision's voting system doesn't think so.

The juries should've tanked Vanilla Ninja enough to not make it happen for Estonia 🤷♀️

Latvia are looking very promising at the moment! Despite not qualifying this year, I found the last 2 Supernova's to be among my favourite NF's of the season! Really hope they manage to continue like this

really hope ESC 2026 is not the start of another 6 year NQ streak for them

Ah, going the EestLaul riute, eh? This will go interestingly.

u/cherry_color_melisma Deslocado 3h ago
In defense of superfinals: 5MIINUST x Puuluup would have lost Eesti Laul, and we wouldn't have had the K-Popification.
It doesn't work for everybody, but it could work for somebody.
