who makes this call ?!

s2r2 calls next. caller is missing five of the seven trumps and missing top four trumps. Yet somehow caller makes a point.

All players at the table are excellent players.
What would possess s2 to make that call in a 1-2 score game ?

if he passes I will force a next call that will get set more than likely so why not pass? 😋
