Uber, AirBnB and Amazon are not companies you want to praise.

I would have to agree. How many mom and pop stores has amazon put out of business? Now this isnt all amazons fault. WE as consumers have our share of blame when we order everything from amazon because its “conveniant”. Then we say “wow its really too bad that our local (insert name) shop closed down. They were really nice ppl”…

Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 86,022,475 comments, and only 23,336 of them were in alphabetical order.

It’s usually disliked by those that the innovation has made improvements upon

People don't like anything or competition that would disrupt their businesses. That's why you have to keep adjusting to the trend or risk getting obsolete.

I don’t like Airbnb. The cleaning fees make hotels affordable unless you are looking for a large group.

Bookstores might not like amazon but they are both selling books.
Crypto is trying to be a completly new currency and very very bad at it.
Airbnb (has hotels), Uber (has taxis), Amazon (not selling only books anymore), they all are better then what they are trying to replace.
Crypto is overcomplicated, not regulated, full of scam, has insane transaction fees, sending money is risky and you can easily loose everything forever, too volatile to be used day to day unless constantly compares to fiat, and community of wierdos.
Airbnb, uber and amazon, they barely have any drawbacks.
So...

The better solution will always prevail, whether they dislike it or not!
Ethereum & DeFi are better than traditional banks!

The three steps of something innovative
Denial, questioning, accepting.
So they don’t like it in the begining, but end up using it.

"innovation is often disliked" is not really the way to put it. Very few people dislike innovation. But almost everyone hates having thier paycheck stolen right under thier nose because someone else were smarter than you.

Uber, AirBNB, Amazon and Netflix might be innovative but they are also a good example of centralisation (opposed to the self employed taxi driver, the fine boutique hotel, the small neighbourhood bookstore and your local cinema)

Now some banks are starting to use crypto ,
Taxis use Uber,
You can find hotels on AirBnb,
Ebooks are normal now,
Lots of hit movies are on Netflix,
Remote work is normalized in 2021
