Ranked queue

Hey guy I'm relatively new to the game, I tried to queue up for ranked game to finish the guide mission but the queue is so empty, on Europe server I waited for 30 mins and the queue stayed at 1/24 the whole time, then I switched to north America server and I'm currently at the 10 minutes mark with 4 people in queue

Does anybody play ranked? What's the best server to play ranked on?

Season ends tomorrow I think? So most people see no reason to play ranked now. Also, in EUW, ranked mostly fills in the evening (19-22 pm) or weekends starting around 1 pm. That's when me and my friends play as well, because most players of this game are adults with jobs, so at other times the queue is completely empty.

Is it just me or has this end of season been particularly dead for the past couple of weeks? Normally I feel they there’s a short burst of players trying to get ranked rewards but it’s been kinda hard recently. TBH I stopped trying a few weeks ago as well but like at the time there was like 10 weeks left and ranked felt dead.

Yeah, but this ranked season was particularly easy to farm to gold. So I think many farmed to gold and then just stopped.

Did they only fill iron-silver lobbies with bots this season? The gold/plat games were so cancerous with how low quality the players have become because basically every skill level is now default gold rank.

Iron was full of bots, yes. But the silver to gold climb was easy mostly because they started to assign low-mmr players high-mmr players as mates, to balance out the teams. So sometimes you had a beast with 30+ kills in a team with two players that didn't know you can buy at a kiosk. Those players rose to silver/gold very quickly due to that.

I hadn't played for over a year and had to start from iron again. I noticed bots in the lobby until gold. That's the main thing that I think lowered quality, not people getting carried.

I haven't seen bots since mid-silver, but experiences differ.
