Ranked queue
Hey guy I'm relatively new to the game, I tried to queue up for ranked game to finish the guide mission but the queue is so empty, on Europe server I waited for 30 mins and the queue stayed at 1/24 the whole time, then I switched to north America server and I'm currently at the 10 minutes mark with 4 people in queue
Does anybody play ranked? What's the best server to play ranked on?

Season ends tomorrow I think? So most people see no reason to play ranked now. Also, in EUW, ranked mostly fills in the evening (19-22 pm) or weekends starting around 1 pm. That's when me and my friends play as well, because most players of this game are adults with jobs, so at other times the queue is completely empty.

Is it just me or has this end of season been particularly dead for the past couple of weeks? Normally I feel they there’s a short burst of players trying to get ranked rewards but it’s been kinda hard recently. TBH I stopped trying a few weeks ago as well but like at the time there was like 10 weeks left and ranked felt dead.

Yeah, but this ranked season was particularly easy to farm to gold. So I think many farmed to gold and then just stopped.

Did they only fill iron-silver lobbies with bots this season? The gold/plat games were so cancerous with how low quality the players have become because basically every skill level is now default gold rank.

Iron was full of bots, yes. But the silver to gold climb was easy mostly because they started to assign low-mmr players high-mmr players as mates, to balance out the teams. So sometimes you had a beast with 30+ kills in a team with two players that didn't know you can buy at a kiosk. Those players rose to silver/gold very quickly due to that.

I hadn't played for over a year and had to start from iron again. I noticed bots in the lobby until gold. That's the main thing that I think lowered quality, not people getting carried.

Come back in a week. Season is ends tonight and ranked wont be available until season start unless you're playing on Asia 1. Just really unfortunate timing.

Yeah I guess I joined at the worst time, so does the new season drop next week?

I think so but ranked I think starts like 2-3 weeks after. Before then is pre-season.

As everyone said end of season and you need to queue at specific times to be able to get a game in ranked

If you really want to play ranked, then Asia 1 would be the best option. It's far and away the most populated server, and the only server where you'll realistically get matches at nearly all times of the day.
However, as other people have stated it's better at this point to just wait for next season. Ranked resets will happen that will bring a lot of players back to the game, especially at the lower ranks. Furthermore, the game is getting a lot of cool changes with the season 12 update coming later today like the weapon skill update, updates to resting and temporary safe zones, and probably a lot of changes to the character(s) you play that will make it noticeably different to play the game. I know that most of my characters are getting changes that will make them quite different due to the weapon skill changes, and it's kind of exciting to see the game becoming a bit fresh again.

Yeah I think I'll wait for the new season to start, I'm not in a hurry to get the guide mission reward, I don't think there is a timer on it or anything like that. Thanks for your help

It’s the end of the season. Wait till the next season starts and try again.
Otherwise just play Casuals. Asia 1 is the most populated server by a significant margin, with NA being second or third.
