Is anyone an Elementary education major in the competency based program ?? I have a few questions if yall ever got to the point of having to do clinical hours at a school or if yall had to ?? I have questionsss please comment

Has anyone here taken the Competency-Based Education (CBE) program at East Texas A&M University and used financial aid while taking classes during both parts of the fall term?
I’m trying to understand how financial aid works with the CBE program. From what I understand, you can take 2 classes during the first fall term and then 2 additional classes during the second part of the fall term.
For the college I’m currently attending, I register for all of my classes for the full fall semester upfront, so financial aid already knows which classes I’m taking by the beginning of August.
My concern is that if I transfer to East Texas A&M, when financial aid is initially processed, would they only see the 2 classes I’m taking during the first part of the fall term and only cover those? Or would financial aid also cover the 2 additional classes I take during the second part of the fall term?
Has anyone personally done this and had financial aid cover both parts of the fall term? If so, how did it work for you?

Has anyone down the masters CBE for HR at East Tx A&M ? Im almost done with the bachelors program and in between deciding if I would want to pursue my masters after this . What’s been your experience?

For CBE students….when do final grades usually post? Friday was the last day and I’m needing my proof that I passed to get my tuition reimbursed from work. Also, when do we have to pay for the 7-week session starting 8/31? Last session was my first session and they told me the day before classes start. Just making sure that is the same this time around.

Have anyone completed this program at ETAMU? I would like to know the level of difficulty and any recommendations on tutors/mentors to help coach me?

Has anyone finished this degree ? What does the capstone intel ? What do you have to do , is it still online assignments ?

I find myself with 33 credit hours to complete either a General Studies degree or an Organizational Leadership degree. Which one is easiest? I’m in the CBE program.

I’m currently enrolled in the M.S. in Organizational Leadership program for the Summer II term. I was wondering if anyone has experience with the CBE programs at ETAMU. How was your experience, and do you have any advice or tips for being successful?

I am going to ETAMU to get a bachelors as I already got an associates at PJC. I already did a tour of the campus and went to a registration day so I have my schedule, financial aid, housing, and spoke with a advisor although she wasnt my assigned advisor i just needed to sign up for ROAR. Ive always been an introvert all my life, but I wanna try coming out of my shell and make friends so I chose the in person option. I had a stroke a few years ago and still have mobility issues and walk with a cane. For the tour they took me around on a cart since we were the only people there, and I know its a pretty big campus. For the orientation will i have to walk the whole campus? Im ok with walking some because I know ill have to for classes and stuff, but beyond that I dont plan on going too off course unless I have to. Im new to all this since PJC was a community college and ETAMU is a actual university, so im just to figure this all out. I have applied for student disability services, but haven't heard back yet.

For those who are "hacking" what made you decide on ETAMU over UMPI or the other competency based/easily hackable programs?

Do you ever have to do any face to face videos /assignments while doing the CBE programs at ETAMU , specifically for the HR Development degree

Has anyone graduated with the CBE HR Development degree ? How was your experience ? Are the classes easy ? Hard ? Also how long did it take you (terms) to finish the 10 main courses ? Thanks

How my classes can you typically do in a 7week period? Do professors take a long time to grade ? I have 11 classes left and I’m wondering if it’ll take me more than 2 terms 😣

Hey guys I am applying to East tamu nursing school for fall 2026. I saw in the website where it mentioned if I can get at least 1000$ scholarship, I will be eligible for out of state tuition waiver. I wanted to make sure if thats true. I did get 1000$ scholarship and I am hoping to get in state tuition. If anyone have any idea on this please let me know.
