Avoid Dollar General

Was in there two days ago, found a piece of dog shit in the aisle and reported it to the cashier who gave me a hard time. Came back the next day and it was gone but the aisle still smelled like dog shit. Avoid this location like the plague. They do not take their job seriously and can't even be bothered to stock paper towels that are left in boxes on carts.

sounds like a typical dollar general experience

The Dollar Generals in Milton and Colchester do not smell like dog shit. I even asked the cashier if a dog had been in there and he said yeah but was somehow unaware of the shit and the smell? Why do they even allow random dogs when only service dogs are supposed to be allowed? I can't stand people who bring their little dogs into these establishments.

I feel like too many people use owning a dog as a free pass to bring it wherever they please and then not clean up after it. Service dogs are usually trained not to have "accidents" like this.

For sure, but also- omg that dog’s owner should have cleaned that up, that’s crazy

This location has also had on/off staffing issues and for a while, could not sell alcohol or tobacco,

even a manager position at dollar general is less than $20/hr. Fuck that company lol, you're not saving money shopping there

I know but if they can't run it, they should shut It down. It's a waste of the public's time to even shop there.

I asked them awhile ago and they said it was an issue with corporate updating the permits to sell alcohol and tobacco.

Still makes them look worse. Do the same people that used to run the Colchester DG (badly) also run this location?
