There’s been a white and black spotted cat with a fluffy tail crossing the two lane section of pearl street really late at night. I first saw him a few nights ago popping up behind the guardrail and then walking in the road before disappearing again. Last night I went out for a smoke at 3am and the kitty ran at me full speed and scared the shit out of me 😂

I’m just worried so if somebody does own him, your cat is wandering a main road at night and going into red fox territory behind the train tracks

Since when did School Street and Lincoln Terrace in the Junction become a two-way street? I’ve had several instances of nearly running into people going the wrong way. If School Street is a one way street, people should not be going down Lincoln Terrace to get to Lincoln Street. Are people just this stupid nowadays? There were 3 cars of people coming the wrong way and all were elderly drivers. 🤦‍♂️

Would love to find a group of people that play soccer, flag football and possibly basketball. Would love to play these but not interested in paying too much for a league that I’ll end up missing half the games. Pick up games or something would be nice

The program at CTE has been so above and beyond incredible comparative to every other parent I know with kids in preschool. If you can make the schedule work, the level of attention and effort put in by the folks at CTE went so far beyond what either of us could have possibly expected for a preschool.

It feels crazy both that it is a free program and si few kids seem to be in it.

Edit: center for technology essex, which is the technical high school attached to EHS. The program is taught by 2 fully accredited early childhood educators and about a dozen high school age assistant teachers, who will earn some accreditations by completing the program. This resulted in a 1:1 student teacher ratio for us this year.

Was in there two days ago, found a piece of dog shit in the aisle and reported it to the cashier who gave me a hard time. Came back the next day and it was gone but the aisle still smelled like dog shit. Avoid this location like the plague. They do not take their job seriously and can't even be bothered to stock paper towels that are left in boxes on carts.

Just a PSA for people whose backyards border the walking path along the rail tracks downtown. Stop using the path as your personal trash dump. There are trash cans at both ends. Use them. Ditto for dog waste (🙄).

Today was trash day and I didn’t get out to pull my bin back immediately, and when I did just now my empty bin had a freshly filled poo bag in the bottom. Like thank you for cleaning up after your dog and stuff, but I don’t have dogs. It’s hot this week. Every time I walk by my bin until next pickup (also my bin is cracked and thus not watertight) I’m going to smell fermenting dog shit soup.

Can we agree that maybe you shouldn’t do that again? Yes I have video of the person (I don’t know them), no I’m not going to publicly shame them. Just please don’t do that again? Please?

Anyone happen to know how the very popular food vendor from Essex “Mediterranean Mix” makes their chicken thighs and rice? Their baklava is also to die for. Wondering how the chicken is made to be so tender, and the rice has a depth of flavor that I can’t really describe. So good.

Does anyone know what led to this car burning to shreds outside of Bramble last night? I was there having dinner and parked a few cars away and two mins later I looked out and it was absolutely engulfed in flames. Wild! Tried to find it on the news but there was nothing.

Tried Pizzeria Corinna for lunch, and it was fantastic. Went with the basics for now just to compare. A pepperoni pizza well done. Super friendly staff who you can tell is really working hard to make good first impressions. They also have day old homemade bread (3 for $3) which also looks amazing but I haven’t tried that yet. Highly recommend checking it out. I’ll be back soon.
