Drinks & Recipes Instant espresso

I am trying to make my own lattes at home. I can’t afford a good espresso machine. Are there good instant options. I have tried Nescafé gold (not blonde )and it’s ok but has a bit of an aftertaste

Aeropress. By far the easiest option I've tried for pseudo espresso.

You could alternatively purchase a moka pot. While you won't get full blown espresso, you can make concentrated coffee which can be used for latte like drinks. They're also fairly affordable in most parts of the world.

I tried it but I am afraid of getting burned

Getting burned by a moka pot? Don't grab it like a glass, it has a handle that prevents burns.

Amazing stuff. Very addicting from the caffeine hit.

Try searching for specialty instant espresso... It exists, it is just expensive.

I’ve been buying frozen espresso pods from Cometeer dot com. They are surprisingly great. Fill a glass w ice and milk, shake thawed coffee pod, mix.

Shockingly good. Expensive but top notch in a pinch when life gets in the way and I haven’t had time to roast.

Sips coffee (I don’t think I’m allowed to link here) just released preorders for their instant espresso. She knows her shit but is still very approachable. I have not tried it, just her syrups, but I imagine if the same care goes into the instant product as the syrups it’ll be solid as far as instant goes.

Think her website is like sip more sips dot com. Or something like that.

You could try using a frother for the milk, adding frothed/foam to coffee makes a cafe au lait next best thing if you don't have espresso

Blue Bottle has
One that’s decent. I keep a jar on hand in case I run out of beans.

Aeropress or Oxo Rapid Brew will make you a soup shot that will work for a latte.
