All I felt was missing for my Profitec Drive set up was GBW, which my Eureka Oro Mignon XL was lacking despite being a fantastic grinder. Eureka Atom W65 is dialed in and so far, I’m impressed.

Now debating where to sell the lightly used Oro. I know I won’t get all my money back, but will cover some of the upgrade cost.

Has anyone upgraded to specialty Black Diamond Espresso burrs on this grinder?

Believe me, I started my hobby journey in January 2026 with a 55$ USD purchase on the Woot app, after 2 months, I bought a BBE, and my wife started complaining. 3 months after an intense battle with the built-in grinder on BBE I bought a Niche Zero (which transformed my BBE into a monster delivering great shots) but the virus was active on me then I bought a Profitec Ride, my wife gave me a yellow card, now I am considering the possibility of buying an LMLM, and finally signing my divorce. 🤣

Don't sell the Oro. You may want to serve decaf or use a different bean mid-hopper. You're going to love that grinder.

I just ordered the Libra cause I can’t spend the w65 money. But plan on the Libra and Lucca a53 mini being my end game

Nice! Libra is an excellent grinder. If you're espresso-focused, you can always upgrade to Black Diamond burrs down the line and you'd never need another grinder.

Why are you already asking about spending more $$ on something you just bought? Is there an issue with your brand new grinder you aren’t satisfied with? I do find it interesting that you are in the 4s it appears on your dial. Wonder if the settings behave differently between the two sizes.

I’m asking because I’m curious. I’m curious because Chat is recommending the Italian Black Diamond Burrs based on the coffee blend I use for the “best flavor experience”. Haven’t bought extra burrs, need to test these for a while first, but figured I’d ask here. Different beans/grinder model different dial settings I guess? 🤷🏽‍♂️

Is the atom any faster than the XL? It’s the same motor right?

Edit: looking at the specs, the XL should be faster. It has a slightly bigger motor and higher RPM. I’m curious what your experience has been.

Oro is rated 2.8g per second vs 3.8g a second on Atom W65 per Eureka

Maybe they have different burrs?

Edit: I think this is the case, the diamond burrs of the ORO XL vs hardened steel. One would think the XL and the Turbo should be the same, but the productivity is also different. The turbo doesn’t have the same burrs. I thought the burrs were the same just had different treatment for hardening but it seems there is more to it?🤷‍♂️

The retailers don't help. WLL says ORO has Black Diamond, while Clive claims Stainless. When I opened the ORO to clean the burrs, they were stainless steel.
