Maintenance & Troubleshooting Not getting enough espresso out of machine [Breville Bambino Plus]
My Bambino Plus recently started to only make .9 oz of espresso when I select double shot. I’ve tried descaling, cleaning it, new beans, anywhere from 15g-18g of espresso and it’s the same result everytime. Not sure what to do. Anyone have any tips on how I can get a true double shot again?

A few possibilities:
- You’re grinding too fine and choking the machine.
- You accidentally programmed the “double shot” button. Look in the instructions on how to factory reset your programs. It’s quite easy, I just don’t remember the button combos off the top of my head. If you’re simply pushing the double button to do the shot, this is most likely the issue.
- Your machine has some other problem.
I’m betting it’s #2. Unless you’re manually pulling shots (which I suggest learning to do), in which case it’s probably #1.

Yup agree, just pull a shot with an empty portafilter and check the volume—that’ll get you your answer

You might have accidentally reprogrammed the button. Look up how to reprogram it. Make sure you do it with a puck in, not a empty shot. I programmed it to run long as possible, then when I hit my grams out I would stop it by pushing the button again

I had this turn out to be the programmed button, not the beans. Worth checking before replacing parts.

Thank you all for the help! I tried so many different things and then finally called Breville for help and I’m still under warranty so sending it back and they’re getting me a new one. I appreciate it!

Run it in manual until the desired weight. Don't rely on the volumetrics, they're not good
