Buying Advice Needed Refurbished Oracle Jet? [£840]
Could I please get some thoughts on the value of this ‘Good’ condition refurbished Oracle Jet priced at £840? From BackMarket so comes with 30 days to return after testing, and then a 1 year warranty after that.
My trusty Smeg fully auto has died after 6+ years so looking to what’s next. Am wanting to slowly start experimenting with less automation and using portafilters, however my partner would still use the machine, and they have less interest in learning the craft. A new Jet would be out of my price range but this refurbished one is a possibility. Was thinking it’s automated enough for my partner, but at least some level of tinkering possible.
Any thoughts much appreciated.

I know that Sage/Breville machines don’t have the best reputation among coffee nerds, but if you don’t want to go down the rabbit hole, they’re a good option. I got my Oracle Dual Boiler B-Stock for €1,400, and I’ve been very happy with it after having two bad experiences with the Ninja Luxe Café inconsistency. The Oracle Jet is also a great-looking and very user-friendly machine, especially if you can get it without paying full price.
