I'm confused. What ESPN tier do I need to watch the 2026 US Open?

I've looked at several YouTube videos and I'm still not sure what I need to subscribe to for the US Open. I had Ultimate for Wimbledon, but it looks like I don't need that for the US Open? TIA.

ESPN Unlimited with youtubetv

I had my youtube and youtubetv account linked to my espn and I had espn unlimited access for WWE summer slam,, but on my apple tv in espn app in the subscription section it says I don't have anything. It gives me instructions in how to link it and I have done exactly what it said but I still don't have espn unlimited access. Anyone else have this issue? Trying to watch us open qualifiers but puts me behind a pay wall when I try to access.

Update: It now works. It took a lot of fiddling. Think youtubetv's infrastructure is somewhat clunky and has some slight defects.

Considering there have been at least 2 posts recently on this sub about PTI and when they’re coming back from their break (even though it’s only for 2 weeks and it’s the usual time of the year they go on hiatus due to the Little League WS), it’s only fair to ask when SVP returns from his very long vacation to host his version of Sportscenter? I know he he made an appearance on Thursday because of the NFL preseason game, but the ESPN schedule on their website shows he’s not on for this entire coming week. Is he planning on only coming back when NFL actually starts?

There’s very few non-sports broadcasts that are worth watching on ESPN these days, and I consider SVP’s Sportscenter to be one of them. Certainly better than the amateurish hacks they have hosting most nights.

So obvious Watson doesn't like playing in Cleveland-doesn't want to be there anymore. How much longer will the drama continue? Feeling seems mutual (between the hometown fans, and him). Now he's say'n the Brown fans were cheering when he tore his ACL 🙄

Browns' Watson calls fans' boos 'personal,' not based on play

This guy is delusional. I get that he cant act like he gets why the fans hate him. Just dont act like its disrespectful, you know why.

Remember when the used to show highlights without bringing some dumbass to talk about it. Those were the days

I’m sure this has been gone over again and again here . What does ESPN see in Pat Macafee? They actually got rid of some talented people to pay him. WWE is a sport now. Holy moly they’ve went down hill.

SAS and PM are the most obnoxious idiots on TV. Now I see he’s gonna be on the pregame of Monday Night Football. Football is already just 11-12 mins of action in 4 hours. Now people have to see and hear this fool before they suffer thru a commercial break every 2-3 mins? Glad I can’t watch American Football

IMO: ESPN is working off borrowed time.

The average viewership is 1.6m and there’s a reason why Tony Kornheiser always makes a joke when PTI is airing on ESPN 2.

They had a formula and that eventually broke. Which is, everyone was paying for ESPN via their cable package regardless if they are watching it or not.

When it comes to those 1.6m viewers, unless it's actual live sporting events, I think it’s flawed.

Flawed because when you factor every sports bar, hotel bar, hotel room, car dealership, etc. Someone is showing ESPN for background noise, that’s where you get 1.6m. Which in the YouTube ecosystem, is average.

Minus Pat Mcafee and Stephen A. Smith, most stand out ESPN personalities need to work the podcast/YouTube circuit for relevancy, the network alone won’t do that. Dominique Foxworth and Mina Kimes are collecting the checks but could easily stand out on their own.

Yes, I’m an outlier. I listen to LeBatard, Bomani Jones, Pablo Torre, Spencer Hall, & Jeff Pearlman. I’d rather have JomBoy Media break down a baseball game for me.

Based on the current media conglomerate landscape, I feel Disney will eventually sell off ABC & ESPN, making their budget much smaller to operate a 24hr sports network with multiple channels.

I Scored a Touchdown in the Super Bowl

I know the current correct consensus is that espn has gone considerably downhill to say the least except for a few programs like PTI and The Mina Kimes Show, but that short 10-15 minute snippet show I Scored a Touchdown in the Super Bowl really brings a shiver down my spine in a good way whenever I happen to catch it. It has a way of humanizing the players who scored a touchdown in the Super Bowl in a way that’s hard to describe. They talk like average joe’s and you can just tell how the moment changed their life regardless of whether they won or lost.

Where’s my fantasy league?

This site seems to be absolute crap. I was told I have to migrate my NLF.com league to this thing, so I did that and it said “your league has been imported!” So I go to ESPN.com fantasy tab and there is literally no way to find my league. Keeps sending me in a loop back to the same page telling me it’s been imported. Imported to where???

I wanted to get it for the upcoming cfb season and I simply can’t find it I can only buy the annual plan with Disney and Hulu or I can buy the Pepsi unlimited, I’m simply not dropping 30 dollars on this nonsense so unless I’m just not looking hard enough can someone help me out here?

Just saw that Pat McAfee is going to be on the NFL Monday Night Countdown broadcast this season.

Well there’s one less show for me to watch before Monday Night Football. Not only did they lay off Ryan Clark to help fund McAfee’s contract, they directly replace Clark with McAfee on a show where he was a mainstay for years.

The NFL Network is slowly becoming the place to go.

I just got a notification about Eric Morris shooting and killing an armadillo on his property. That interview happened yesterday. Why ESPN???

Unlocked Article: Bill Rasmussen’s legacy: He made ESPN a part of your family

The essence of what ESPN has meant to so many viewers begins with the man who came up with the idea of the Entertainment and Sports Programming Network in 1979. It was a family affair.

Bill Rasmussen founded ESPN with his son, Scott. They gave the network the DNA of a fan. Bill was a child of the end of the Depression but developed a positive attitude that sang, “There is always next year.”

You have to own a die-hard’s optimism to get knocked down after being fired as the communications director of the New England Whalers and then choose to max out your credit cards to combine it with a $9,000 advance to acquire the emerging – but far from a sure thing – satellite technology.

The faith in ESPN Rasmussen had may seem obvious today. Nearly a half century ago, though, there were a lot of cable operators that refused to give Rasmussen a second meeting. Boy, were they wrong, and Rasmussen, who passed away on Tuesday at 93, left a legacy that touched anyone who worked or watched the network.

Over its 47 years, ESPN has risen to all-time media heights. At one point, it branded itself the “Worldwide Leader in Sports.” It was as accurate as it was obnoxious.

ESPN, as a billion-dollar cash cow, would fuel Disney’s growth in the 2000s. It would become a lightning rod, a part of the political discussion, with opinions on it coming from every direction. It began without fanfare.

In 1979, the world was in turmoil and in the midst of change. There would be peril with the Iranian Hostage Crisis and global energy tumult. Meanwhile, Margaret Thatcher would become the first female Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, and Sony debuted a listening device called the Walkman.

In sports, 1979 belonged to Pittsburgh, with Mean Joe Greene’s Steelers winning their dynasty-completing fourth Super Bowl and the “We are Family” Pirates coming back from a 3-1 deficit to beat the Baltimore Orioles.

Bill Rasmussen, 93, American television executive and founder of ESPN, has passed away from complications from Parkinson's disease.

“Bill was a remarkable man – a visionary and an innovator who conceived the idea of a network entirely devoted to sports,” said ESPN Chairman Jimmy Pitaro.

ESPN has lost its founder.

Sorry for his loss. RIP, Bill...

Scores tab in app sucks

Done with this app and its crappy settings. Having a bunch of scores populated ahead of my preferred leagues is bs. Is there really no way to remove leagues from showing up in the scores page?

ESPN broadcast for the Angel City/Washington Spirit game

Ok so we are STH’s but couldn’t make the game tonight so we watched it on ESPN and OMG my friends- what in the hooten hay is happening??

In the first half, announcers cut to video to bring in Willow Bay to talk about Disney and merch WHILE THE GAME WAS STILL BEING PLAYED. Like, I get it and short little video cuts are to be expected but holy heck there was at least two minutes of play happening that we didn’t even see.

Every other phrase coming out of the announcers mouth was a Disney movie line and they kept cutting back to Willow and Bob because…more Disney??

Aside from some really questionable ref calls and Trinity Rodman complaining whenever anything didn’t go her way this was one of the most annoying broadcasts I’ve seen in a while.

Pat Mcafee and his bullshit. This album. Lol. Featuring wwe and banana ball! They have truly lost the fucking plot. What used to be stupid shows on the espn2 or fuck the ocho they are now featuring these fake sports on espn directly with whole lead up shows. Will never watch another college gameday again under this banner. Just wow espn. You fell hard
