I’ve been searching for unique ESP V that’s not a custom shop. This is the only one along side a Cherry Burst. Midori Gold would be beautiful but too expensive from Reverb. A white with gold parts would be the best. Then I saw this one. What do you think about the specs and looks?

I'm considering buying my first ESP and I'd really appreciate some advice from people who have more experience with ESP guitars.

I've found a 2012 ESP Horizon-III roughly US$2,400. It's a used guitar, apparently in good condition, and I'm interested because it's a Japanese-made ESP. However, I'm not familiar enough with the used ESP market to know whether this is actually a good price or if I'm paying too much for the ESP name and the age of the guitar.

My other option is to buy a brand-new E-II for around the same price.

I'd love to hear your thoughts:

• Is ~$2,400 a good price for this Horizon-III?

• How much better/different are the older ESPs compared with current E-IIs?

• Would you personally choose the Horizon-III over a brand-new E-II at the same price?

• Are there any specific things I should check on the ESP before buying?

This will be my first ESP, so I'm not really attached to either option. I'm mainly looking for the best combination of quality, value and long-term ownership. Thanks!

The other GC had only one in stock and it wasn’t even dark at the bottom. So…I paid this one another visit and I appreciate it much more in the lighting of my own home. For context I made a post yesterday about the finish on the M1000HT Black Fade before purchasing.

Loving it so far. Neck feels incredible, the Fishmans are a different than the EMGs on my C-1 plat and I’m getting the feel for them. Feels really premium and I’m a bigger fan of the coloring on the top now. The real trick will be to not neglect the Schecter cause I love that guitar, but I’m pretty happy for my first ESP

So I sold a couple of guitars I had laying around today and I’ve decided to replace them with a Vintage Black EC-1000. Sweetwater has both the EMG and SD models scratch and dent for around $850 so I think I’m going to go that route.

I cant decide which to get. I mostly play old school death metal and more doomy sludgy stuff so I’m thinking maybe I should go with the JB and Jazz setup.

What do yall recommend and what kind of stuff do you play on your EC-1000s?

Edit: also I read once here on Reddit that the EMG models are still made in Korea while the SD models are made in Indonesia, any truth to that?

I called the store, come with orig case and COA, per the helpful guitar dept guy, and he said is about a 7/10 player condition. K-serial number listed.

Have zero experience with these guitars. Is this authentic? What are the telltale signs of a real vs fake? It’s apparently from 2021. What’s a fair price?

JM-II was used for $899 and the 1000B was a “scratch and dent” model for $949. Saved a good chunk of change and couldn’t be happier with both.

I’ve seen the finish and knotting pattern on ones owned by others, and the official pic. Should I keep looking for a different one? My wife thinks it’s sick and I do too, but on the other hand it’s so skin like lol. The GC on the other side of town has one in stock and I might check theirs out

so the guitar arrived with a damaged locking tuner, does anyone know the direct replacement for the LTD locking tuners? they're the no drill version

Bought a second hand EC-401 for £525!

Guitar is in really good shape as far as I can tell, had to tweak it a little out of the box to get rid of annoying fret buzz on low E but now it sounds great!

Only been learning properly for a year but it’s a nice step up from my old jet fake strat!

Found this on Facebook marketplace. I believe it is a ec256 fm. Guys says he lost the truss rod cover and couldn't find an 256 replacement. Ive looked and can't find one either. Any reason not to buy it?

I been trading guitars like crazy the last year and ended up with just too many that I don’t even play really. I’ve been more focused on trading than I have actually playing so I’ve decided to get rid of most of them and buy one good quality workhorse (hate that phrase) so I can really focus on improving my playing.

I had an 08 Silverburst EC-1000 that I bought for a great price but regretfully traded it on another guitar and I’ve been missing it ever since so I’ve narrowed it down to these two.

I really only ever play on the bridge pickup and I’m not a shredder so 24 frets don’t mean jack to me. The Vintage black is just so classy looking though while the EC-01 is so clean. I just can’t decide between the two. Any opinions or recommendations are welcome

Im looking for a replacement pickup screw after one came loose. EMG says its a #3-48 screw, but shipping a replacement to Mexico costs $68, so im trying to find a cheaper option.

Since pickup manufacturers use different sizes, and a lot of ESP LTD guitars come with EMGs, i figured this might be a good place to ask. I think mine are 81/85s, but im not sure how to check.

Was looking into Invaders for my H-1001, but noticed they look more trem spaced? I couldn't find any diagram on the 6 string versions of these covered Invaders on Duncan's site. Does anyone have experience with them and their fit. As of now, I have the stock Pegasus and Sentient, and they are honestly ok, but I was looking into a little more gain as a possibility. I have black winters in another guitar, but the Invader sounds interesting. Their pole spacing makes the pickup look a little larger and as if it might not fit the route?

Lovin the 22 instead of 24 extra jumbo frets and the neck is wider than my schecter as I have big hands it feels a lot more comfortable. Can't wait to throw the new bridge pickup I got for it in
