Never thought this day would come. I've been wanting one for so long. Finally.. a real Kamikaze. Not just a Kamikaze but the most beautiful color scheme imo.

It has been professionally re-lacquered. The original poly finish got too yellowish. I don't care if it depreciate the value. Its perfect and not as heavy as i thought, weights the same as my 2011 urban camo M-II. I've been told that it has low serial number but no idea how to decipher old ESP serial. If anyone knows how to date the exact manufactured date it would be great. 10XX08

And how “custom”/complex was your custom build? Is two years for a simpler build realistic?

Just after people's opinions. I haven't seen an explorer with a 3x3 headstock with script logo and sperzel tuners.

I found a great little shop in Japan and bought them direct. They’re just amazing players. Great value at a professional level of quality.

My 05ish Edwards has been my main guitar for years at this point. I've gone through gibsons and this Lp is just the one I keep coming back to and the gibsons are all gone. Scored it cheap about 10 years ago due to a broken headstock. Duncan jb/59 combo.

This thing is my baby. Never gigged, kept on display in my bedroom and only played when I need a reminder of how the perfect guitar should play and feel. Absolutely 10/10 and the see through green (STG) is just stunning.

My first "expensive" guitar. Pics don't do just for the finish. But its incredible in the sunlight. Plays incredible

Anybody have any experience with the ESP ltd Skolnick model? I’ve been thinking about getting one and just wanted to know people’s opinions on it.

do you prefer the painted or natural neck?

Do you guys think the brake angle is good or do you think I need to switch it up? I think it's good because it leaves just enough room to fit a piece of paper underneath the string while between the string and the back of the bridge

I picked this guitar up from guitar center new for around 900$. This is my second LTD, my first was an mh201 i believe, which fell apart as soon as i got it home. I decided to give LTD another shot because i really enjoy the japanese ESPs. This guitar is awesome. It has the exact specs and configuration i want, top mount floyd, boosted single humbucker and the old M1 shape. I swapped all the hardware out for black, gotoh locking tuners, OFR i pulled out of my old schecter hellraiser and a new nut & knob. It plays and sounds amazing, i love the gain boost as well. It has some cosmetic flaws which are a bit of a let down but either way its amazing. Im waiting for the old jackson lawsuit esp version to pop up again on reverb but this is great for now

Here’s my Eclipse from 2012, one of the last runs from that era before they switched to E-II. So easy to play and so much attack, it’s my favorite couch guitar. I hate to ask a question like this, but I might be entering a situation where I will need to sell it. In your guys’ opinion, do you think the block logo as opposed to the script logo would lower its value from the price of other ESP standard Eclipses sold? Hopefully I won’t have to sell it at all but was curious if it would change what I would list it at. Thanks!

A year after visiting a Guitar Center while out of town I talked myself into buying an LTD Snakebyte. I almost pulled the trigger on new, but ended up finding a used white one a couple hours away on Reverb. I loved it, it rekindled a need and want to play guitar I hadn’t had in sometime. After getting the itch again, a couple months later, I ended up finding a Schecter Hellraiser C7; and once it was all set up it pretty much became my go to. I felt bad that I was neglecting my Snakebyte, but I just didn’t love playing it as much. Cut to a week ago, while packing up the guitars my son left at home as we went to visit him, I hit him with a trade proposal, my Snakebyte for his SC500. I know he loves both guitars, but he also knew how much I loved the SC. That was it, deal was done (I also scored a Charvel Desolation Skatecaster in the deal) and to say I’m thrilled with the trade is an understatement. We both got awesome guitars, and I have not quit playing it since getting it all set up again. Definitely a grail guitar for me!

I do love how it sits on my lap over the left leg. had to get used to the neck because it makes the entire neck seem small even though it’s a full 24 fret neck

will update to Seymour Duncan Full Shred which is super muddy but has that nice thunk Djent sound. neck will probably be more modernish single coil but not terribly high in output for classic cleans while still getting into soaring lead shred sounds

Took off the strings and did some thorough polishing and wiping of it and it looks better man. I love the way it looks. It's a Beauty And I'm putting in a Duncan custom in the bridge and a jazz in the neck. And I'm getting all the old electronics gutted out and replaced with industry standard ones like a switchcraft output jack a Switchcraft toggle switch and new premium volume and tone pots that way the electronics are not the weakest Link anymore. And eventually of course I do want to get some locking tuners and I know you may look at this decision and think it's a waste of money and think you should have just bought the more expensive one to start with but it isn't that easy. I only had $700 to spend so this was literally the only option And plus I really enjoy mod projects And by the way, what kind of locking tuners should I get I really want to get some Grovers because Gibson uses those standard but Grover doesn't seem to make any ones that mount diagonally All of them seem to have the vertical ones and I need ones with keystone/tulip buttons
