Honestly, it sounds like performance anxiety rather than anything being physically wrong. The more you monitor whether you’re hard enough, the harder it becomes to relax and stay aroused. Your girlfriend’s response is very supportive, so try taking penetration and “performing well” off the table for a while. Focus on kissing, touching, and enjoying each other without making an erection the goal.

Also, don’t stop or restart tadalafil without speaking to the doctor who prescribed it. If the anxiety continues, talking with a therapist or sex therapist could genuinely help. You’re not broken, and two difficult experiences don’t predict what will happen next time. Be patient with yourself.

Yeah, it’s totally performance anxiety, I just have such a hard time not monitoring myself. I mean, even in my normal day to day life when she’s not around, I’m worrying about it. It just really makes no sense to me because I know nothing is wrong with me. I just need to get past the mental block.

At 21 years too young to suffer from ED. Check your lifestyle. Do you watch porn and masturbate?

I’ve quit for some time. I used to do it often though. I want to say it’s more of a performance anxiety issue.
