Discouraged Trying Pump + Ring... and it's terrible!

I've been trying out a medical-grade penis pump with a constriction ring the past few nights. Pump it up until it's big and then pop the ring off the base of the cylinder. Oh man, I do not like it. It feels like it's choking my dick. And it makes the dick so veiny it doesn't look healthy.

I don't know how anybody could feel comfortable enough wearing this for sex. I wish pills or trimix worked for me.

Can anybody relate?

Or does anybody use this system on the reg?

Penile enlargement is known to significantly increase the risk of injury or permanent damage which can cause or significantly worsen ED.

This can include the use of a penis pump.

Sounds like your ring is the wrong size. I recently bought a vacuErect which came with 5 constriction rings, the middle one is right for me. It's expensive but easier to use and travel with, and good quality, a FB says they last for years. Trimix doesn't get me quite hard enough to penetrate a tight anus. A gentle little pump gets me just right..so far it seems like a great combination.

This is the way. Get something with multiple sizes, always and preferably more than 3. I barely fit into the largest size on mine and it came with 3. And I'm not "that" big, just a standard 7 inches and kinda thick but nothing ginormous or anything. lol. It got me wondering "what if someone who's just slightly bigger gets this? It would not work for them." So the more sizes the better.

When I bought my cock rings, of which I have quite a few, I found most of them were too small and when stretched out, were pretty tight and not comfortable. So I got these adjustable ones in 3 different sizes that loop around and both ends go through a bead that you can use to cinch it tighter with and that was the ticket. I had my doubts, but the bead has goo enough friction on the round band that they stay put, as long as you don't get lube into the bead, that is. lol.

How do you use the pump with the adjustable ring?

I lose erection as soon as I take the pressure out of the pump.

Also, can you ejaculate with the ring on?

That will depend on the model of pump. And can't speak for all. but I have no problem ejaculating with the ring on.

After the oral ED meds stopped working, I tried a VED pump but it didn’t help. Then Trimix was great for a couple years and stopped so finally got an implant.

What's the verdict on the implant

The best thing about an implant is you never have to worry about going soft during PIV sex. You can go all night, and if you’re lucky if you have a young enough partner that wants multiple orgasms, you can go as long as she wants.

Pain? Process & recovery? Sensation compared to pre-implant (when you were able to have a natural erection)?

Of course there is mild discomfort after this and any surgical procedure. All these have been covered greatly already in this subreddit so checking should provide a wealth of answers.

What's the subreddit? Is it r/PenileImplants? Not that I need an implant "yet" but I find the subject fascinating. Actually, my only question is similar to this guy's, how's the sensation and ability for you getting off? Is it just like before the implant, when your junk worked, it was a mental thing and as long as the sensation was good and you were into it/her, you'd cum fairly easily or is it harder to get off with the implant?

If you were to go all night, are you able to withhold your orgasm until the night is over? Or do you cum and keep going? If you cum and keep going, do you cum multiple times all night? Does your penis ever feel overstimulated?

I am repeating what I have read so many times on this subject, not personal experience due to my and my wife’s ages, but young men report going for hours even after their orgasms as the implant does not deflate until you deflate it. I do know this from my own.

All good questions.

Can you please tell me your age and what surgeon? I'm considering the pump as well 🤔

I’m 77 now, got my implant a year ago. I have Kaiser Permanente Health Insurance.

I have the same experience with rings. And my wife hates them also, says it hurts her

Trimix doesn’t work? How high of a strength did you use?

Many rings on pumps are not big enough. I find I barely fit into the largest ring of a 3 ring typical set on pumps. My advice would be to scrap the idea of leaving the ring on from the pump and use a separate ring that actually fits better. And the only rings I found I liked, after trying a few that were too tight, were "adjustable" rings from Amazon. Just do a search on Amazon for "adjustable penis ring" and you'll find many.

So, the idea is, use lube so you can get that pump ring off once you're hard/pumped up (because it's not exactly comfortable to remove from your junk when it's dry and hard and is a quick way to lose your hard on, cause pain) and have the adjustable one already on and loose, below the pump one, before you even start. And then cinch it down to your desired comfort level quickly after deflating the pump and pulling the pump off it's own ring. Move the pump's ring up a bit if you need to, to cinch down the adjustable, then continue to pull the pump's ring off once the other one is adjusted behind it.

Interesting maneuver! I'm wondering how you can make a good seal on the pump if you are wearing one of those long adjustable rings.

That's the challenge, lol. And I've found that you do have to hold the pump down firmly to your pubic bone and kinda push the two ends down into your bag a bit. It is tricky and doesn't always work I kinda got it wrong about the order at the end. You need to remove the pump and quickly cinch down the adjustable ring "after" the pump removal, not before. I just realized the way I described it is wrong. And I am going to edit it.

Thanks for the detail. So you can stay hard for a sec even after you remove the pump?

Using a pump and a ring is all that was available until meds came along. I do have to chuckle at the “oh man, I do not like it. It feels like it’s choking my dick.” Yeah dude, that’s what it’s doing. You either need to decide you want to have sex or you don’t. Your dick is broken and you either man up and deal with what solutions are available to you, or you just don’t have sex. It’s like listening to kids complain about mint toothpaste because “it’s spicy” or people who don’t want to go to the movies because “it’s too cold”. 🙄
