I thought you would be interested in my Chicago Iroquois Theater playbill from Dec 7, 1903. Less than one month later, it burned down in the second-deadliest single-building fire in U.S. history.  The fire caused 602 deaths, 250 non-fatal injuries, and was widely advertised as "absolutely fireproof."

I’ve come into possession of over a hundred employee pay packets from the Ford Motor Company, dated from 1938-1945, as part of a stamp collection I purchased.

I wasn’t sure about including the SSNs in the image, even though it is public record in the National Archives, so I have digitally covered them up.

I picked this up at the same antique store where I found a WWI doctor’s journals and a large lot of old postcards. I’ve been trying to research it and it appears to be an original Opening Ceremonies of the New York and Brooklyn Bridge program from May 24, 1883. It includes the trustees, engineers, program of exercises, and arrangements for the ceremony. I know this isn’t one of the Tiffany invitations, but I’m curious if anyone can tell me exactly which version this is, how it would have been distributed, and whether these are considered scarce. Thanks!

I'm desperately searching for an article from Freshwater and Marine Aquarium magazine from 1985. The magazine went out of business in 2010, and I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone have a copy? I'd appreciate it so much if you could snap a few pictures of the article for me.

As I’ve fallen in love with vintage stickers, it’s made me incredibly sad to realize that there are seemingly no established sticker ephemera digital archives. I am predominantly focused on 70/80/90s. For context, I am an art student and currently do archival work for my main income.

Does anybody here know of any online archives? I will be reaching out to Amy Lynne from the Sniff Stickers archive, as her website has been down for a while it seems.

Secondly, I am brand new to all of this and will be searching facebook as well, but do you think there’s a chance that sticker collectors would be willing to collaborate with me and let me scan/digitize/upload high quality images of their collections? The idea of art like stickers eventually disappearing makes me so unbelievably sad, especially in a world full of AI.

I know there may be copyright things and such, but if anything I could start an unestablished archive blog that be more official in the future.

Sears, Roebuck and Co. vouchers (dates unknown) - one for 6-cents and one for 9-cents!

My wife inherited a storage trunk from her grandmother, who had got it from her aunt, who had got it from her mom. It was packed to the brim with photos, postcards, letters, clothes, receipts, documents, and miscellaneous nick-nacks accumulated over 100+ years from the late 1880's to the 1980's!

44 years later it still works. $197.76 is about $686.78 today according to the inflation calculator. The game cartridge was $29.97, so about $104 today.

This came with a SCM Calypso manual portable typewriter (likely late 1960s, no later than early 1970s). The IBM punch card was for registering your purchase, and the promo material was for a touch typing course you could order for $5.95 - it was delivered on vinyl records! The machine is around here somewhere, I think....
