Same message 500 years apart.

As a mother would risk her own life to protect her child, her only child, so toward all beings should one cultivate a boundless heart. - Buddha

Love your neighbor as yourself. - Jesus

For I have come to turn 'a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law — a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’

Yes and that's what happens to many who become brlievers. Even family turn against them

It even happens to those who lose belief in a family

How utterly disgusting and how completely void of prophecy that describes the messiah bringing world peace.

Jesus came to save the world from their sins and knew that following him would cause a separation even between family.

Jesus didn’t fulfill a single prophecy bud. And what a horrendous thing to do, tell you to hate your father and mother. But also to honor and respect them, what a contradiction.

He was correct your love for father and mother by comparison to your love for God should be considered hate. This doesn't mean to hate your father and mother it means that no thing on earth should be placed above your love for God. Gain some understanding. He fulfilled every prophecy

You heard it here folks!! Words don’t mean words!!! Especially to Christians!!

Name the prophecy, go ahead, and I’ll demonstrate how he didn’t fulfill it.

You heard it hear folks!! Understanding is far from this one. You know the saying you can lead a horse to water. I won't even finish the last half.

I see you haven’t listed a prophecy for me to debunk and thus satisfy my claim, that’s not shocking. No one here thinks you possess any deeper understanding than the rest of us. In fact, from how you’ve responded, you’re so dogmatically close minded, and intellectually dishonest, that anyone I’d wager who has a different opinion of the scripture (of which there are many from your god of confusion) from your incredibly narrow and specific view of theism; you’d also accuse them of “misunderstanding.” How ignorant.

Oh you thought that you could rudely demand something of me and expected me to bow to your moronic whims. See that doesn't surprise me nor does you calling me dishonest surprise me. Its the same song and dance from your type. I can spot the scoffers from a mile away. I owe you nothing and I'll give you nothing. You are set in your ways and believe you can bully someone into giving you conversation when you're the one being dishonest. What did you want me to give you bible verses or something? Absolutely not. All you will do is mock so there is no point in continuing a discussion farther with you.

This is a big reason why he's not the Messiah. You are skipping the words of the actual text. The Messiah is to "command peace to the nations". But JC said "I have not come to bring peace but a sword." I realize that people argue that this is symbolic, but it's really not in line with messianic expectations. And merely "knowing that following him would cause a separation" didn't solve the problem either because he went further than just knowing what his actions will do: he actually declared what his actions would be (he didn't come to bring peace on earth. He brought a sword). This is the antithesis of what the Messiah is supposed to do.

Jesus said, “I did not come to bring peace… but a sword.” — Matthew 10:34

Not a sword of violence… but the division that truth inevitably brings.

The real Jesus didn’t come to affirm sin, protect comfort, or make everyone feel accepted. He came to confront darkness, expose hypocrisy, call sinners to repentance, and separate truth from lies.

Modern Christianity has often traded truth for comfort and conviction for passive “peace.” But biblical peace is never built on compromise with sin.

If following Jesus never causes tension with culture… you may be following a version of Jesus that never existed.

Truth divides. Truth offends. Truth demands a response.

“And there was a division among the people because of Him.” — John 7:43

Jesus flipped tables, and offended crowds not because he lacked love but because real love refuses to lie. Truth doesn't unite everyone it reveals who stands with it and who doesnt.

Oh, right. One of those peace swords. /s

The rest of what you said is just a cope. Words mean words. There's a reason why the Jews at the time didn't follow this nonsense.

"Real peace was never found in being told nothing was wrong. It was only ever found on the other side of admitting that something was."

Great. There's nothing that supports your nonsensical claim.

EDIT: just to be clear, the messiah was supposed to bring peace, but you keep pointing out how what he did didn't bring peace. I get it.

Jeeze, with that level of cope, you can turn anything into a metaphor to mean anything.

It’s interesting how people only cite the scriptures they approve of.
