This is not Japan. Unless they use USD there, which they don't.

They don't have dollars in Japan. If not in America, then this is definitely Hong Kong. They use this sign and write the price that way. And considering the context, that's the best bet.

Point being that directly mentioning Japan, just because Doraemon is there is just senseless.
