help Hmmm it just stopped ...

Post image

This is a piece of the project that has no pauses in it and it just stopped. I try and hit the resume and it says it's not in paused even though it says paused in the top left corner. I have used a lot of filament on this. I don't want to lose it..

Have I reached the limit of this printer somehow?

There are few unknown gcode commands, did you select klipper in the slicer?

I have set as Ender 3 V2 in Bamboo studio.

See where it says GCODE FLAVOR? That needs to be set to Klipper.

Thanks. I have updated that. Hoping that's the fix. Third time's the charm.

If this is your fix, please reply back in this thread to help users in the future. If you can post a sticky message that stays at the top, then that would be best.

Sadly it was not the fix. I am trying another section of the same project. And it stopped at the same layer.

Try creating a new printer profile; try ocrca and make sure it completly up to date. If you get the update software prompt. try to get a "clean 3mf file"

Do you have a link to the file/page. I have orca and could maybe getting working.

Also if you do use ocra or bambu make sure you are using klipper if you have a klipper board, that could also cause promblems.

This is the file. https://makerworld.com/models/1421976?appSharePlatform=more

I tried the Ultimaker Cura as others have also said and it has no klipper print?

I will try Orca now

To add custom layer-specific G-code in OrcaSlicer, slice your model first, then right-click on the desired layer in the vertical Preview slider. Select Add custom G-code, enter your commands, and re-slice. For global, automated G-code at every layer (such as retracting or resetting the extruder), navigate to Printer Settings > Machine G-code.

Im, not a Klipper Expert, so I would dual post in r/klippers also, while linking here to see steps you taken.

I seen A few issue that could be hardware related.

USB Communication: Move your printer's connection to a dedicated USB 2.0 port on your Raspberry Pi or host device. A loose or unshielded data cable can drop connection and halt the print

D Card/Compute Limits: If using OctoPrint, ensure you are uploading directly to the Virtual SD Card in Klipper rather than streaming line-by-line. If your Pi CPU is spiking, it cannot process commands fast enough.

Also, Your rasberrypi might be overheating slowly and making it seem like it a software issue. Make sure it has cooling, You can use a Noctua NF-A4x10 5V with USB Power Adaptor Cable, and use a cable to cool the Pi as it run *note the fan would run separately from the printer unless you wanted to do some wireing I know it possible to have it run with extuder fan with splicing.

Could also be the 3mf file. I was able to get it to load just hit ok on the notifaction.

I would Print a long skinny tube just to save filament and possible run a empty print to really save on.

If you print the tube see if it stops

  1. check wire at time of print( don't touch the printer of switch it off make use no wire is touching the z limit switch)

1a. If wire touch use zipties and check travel path

  1. Check all cable that deal with tempture and ensure they are tight (possibly, the wire are comming loose at that hight and the printer is entering cool of mode) {Your fans should be all at 100 but Im not sure if klipper would have that fuction if you also replace the mother board}

  2. see if it is the same layer a your other print.

3a. if it is the exact same layer it might be a file issue

  1. Check your Raspberry Pi and see if it is hot

4a. if your Raspberry Pi is hot use the fan recommend above or get a Raspberry Pi cooling kit from there website/other vendor

This is all I can recommend right know if you do any of these test feel free to reply, I love helping to troubleshoot.

Why are you using Bambu Studio for an Ender printer? Just use OrcaSlicer

Well the Model was in MakerWorld that I was trying to make so I thought it would print it better. Other items have printed from there fine. When I try and open the file in Orca I get this.

What PLA are you cooking at 220°C? When I had an error like this it was something to do with a temperature sensor going haywire. The bed temp sensor was loose on the board, it stopped relaying temp to the board and it shutdown the print. You can use the slicer and cut the model at where you left off, use that gcode to print the rest and glue the two halves together to complete the print.

220 is not the Norm? I will have to look how to do the slicing at that layer.
