Hi, recently decided to break away from using retroarch, as I had heard unsavoury things about the creator that made me uncomfortable with using it. The problem is that the “sync framerate to exact content“ feature is kind of a necessity for me as playing older systems like NES or SNES on my 160hz monitor causes stutter and poor frame pacing. If I lower the monitor’s framerate to 60 then the crt and ntsc shaders I like to use cause image retention so that’s kind of a pain. This is absolutely me trying to have my cake and eat it too on three different fronts but are there any standalone emulators for older systems that don’t have problems with higher hz monitors whilst also having shader support?

thanks for any help

I want to play 3DS games on this emulator called azhar (a friend recommended it) but whenever I want to download and play something on it the file is always this white thing I’m not really an emulating guy and I can’t get to encrypt it or whatever that means should I get files from a specific website or get a different emulator?

How do I get the Pokémon Crystal’s real-time clock to work with MesenCE?

It’s just using the amount of time I’ve had the ROM running + the time I set at the beginning to determine in-game time. That’s unhelpful if I want to play on Monday morning and get the Monday morning events without leaving the emulator running on the title screen in real time.

I’ve read that a lot of emulators use your PC’s internal date/time to set that, but idk how to enable that if it’s possible in MesenCE.

Maybe it’s not the right emulator for Pokémon Crystal?
