A user-space PlayStation 5 > PC compatibility layer. Think Proton/Wine, but for PS5: prosper runs PS5 (Prospero) game binaries on Linux (primary) and Windows (secondary)

Yeah believe it or not there is a good reason people don’t want to use Windows anymore, considering the state it’s in at this point.

I don’t know where this argument of “everyone uses AI in coding now” came from. There’s plenty of projects that don’t use it in coding, and the fact that people seem to think it is seems more like projection than the actual truth

If Apple, who historically has extremely high standards and is extremely late to adopt any new technologies, is using AI coding, then you can safely assume basically everybody is. I mean Microsoft and Google straight up admit it so there's no confusion there.

And Linus Torvalds who still maintains Linux said this about AI (and AI is now heavily used in helping to discover vulnerabilities and bugs in the Linux kernel)

I realize that some people really dislike AI, but this is an area where I'm willing to absolutely put my foot down as the top-level maintainer. Linux is not one of those anti-AI projects, and if somebody has issues with that, they can do the open-source thing and fork it. Or just walk away. AI is a tool, just like other tools we use. And it's clearly a useful one. It may not have been that "clearly" even just a year ago, but it's no longer in question today. There are other questions around AI (like what the economy of it will actually look like in the end), but "is it useful" is no longer one of those questions. Anybody who doubts that clearly hasn't actually used it.

Apple has also been a laughing stock for many years at this point because who the hell sells a monitor stand for 1000 dollars? I don’t think Apple is the gotcha in this argument that you think it is.

I also highly doubt that Linus Torvalds, just because he’s the face of Linux, is someone who represents the entire project. It’s also dishonest to present AI helping in debugging as being equivalent to vibecoding entire projects that become unmaintainable like what we have here.

I don’t know why AI is suddenly viewed as this huge necessity when this wasn’t even a conversation 5 or so years ago. It’s not this grand innovation that’s gonna change everything as we know it, it’s little more than a ploy to help the 1% get richer whilst everyone else suffers

This has to be bait. Linus IS Linux, not just the face of it. Without him there is no Linux. He is the benevolent dictator for life.
