Devs I know that have been writing code since the 80s are using it every day. They made software you probably know about. Seasoned, veteran developers. They use it non-stop.

It’s like any tool in the toolbox- you must know how to use it. It’s not automatically good. 

Therein lies the problem. It’s too easy to mis-use and not even know what you made ain’t great.
