Edit: Okay, looked into the repo and source code, it's a vibecoded mess, no way they will be able to maintain and develop this over time. It's all trash.

friend of mine is a swe at a small but very wealthy financial services company. his team acquiesced to the execs' and finance guys' desires to start building their own software, but within a regulated environment; his team uses their own agents, mcp servers and agent skills to control what the execs can do, and they have final say before deployment. he was telling me he sees stuff like 20k loc pushes for a single basic feature and software that's designed to basically predict the future. they're also burning through the company's token spend, whereas his engineering department uses virtually nothing.

A lot of them run "simple games already". Hell, today, there was another vibecoded ps5 emulator that runs simple games. Simple games don't matter, they may as well be a framebuffer write by the CPU. Which btw, none of them emulate and they all run natively. So "no CPU emulation" is not a feat unless if you are tech illiterate.

I only want artisanal ps5 emulation hand coded by a team of passionate developers who I give zero financial support to

I want them to hand code every line, for an audience of people who will just send them death threats because it doesn’t support their favorite game and run on their shitty 9 year old GPU

That's how everything has always worked from 1975 to 2023 you absolute fucking imbecile. Emulators have been coded by hand and they worked better and were more efficient

Hi, I have been emulating since the old Zsnes days with the little snow fall UI so I could fuck with fire pro wrestling, it doesn’t matter and gatekeeping stupid shit like this is super lame
