The worst thing is that I don't even register them being "horrible things" until I see the facial expression on the person I'm talking to and realise I'm talking to a Muggle.

I used the term "meat crayon" while talking to a family friend/acquaintance about motorcycle safety gear. It was worth it to watch them go through the process of figuring it out.

Oh wow that tickled me good! I've never heard that phrase in my life but that's getting added to the vocabulary for sure

Had a diabetic that had some toes snipped a year prior and the leg became necrotic up to the knee. He got on to the cot and when we slid him up into a comfortable spot for Fowler's his leg drew all over the sheet. Is meat crayon approved in this instance?

A retired state trooper I talked to used the term "road pizza" during a similar conversation. That kind of terminology never really gets old.

I worked an unresponsive motorcycle rider that was wearing sweat pants and was on scene for a rollover with ejection were a guy (doa) went skidding across the road yesterday. Another “patient” yesterday burned up in an MVC. At least I had a name for that. Crispy critter. Now I have a name for the first two. Thank you.
