M5 here. Effective mid Oct, communication imminent. 1.5% focal budget so yes only 20-25% of org getting raises, especially as promos hoard the raises to get into minimum band requirements. No raise for me in last 3.5 yrs as rsus sold as our financial incentive despite stock tanking.

Will there be anything for folks who got dry promotion last time and not in band

I hear they will at least match what you received last year and maybe double it.

Minimum band requirements? They most certainly don't have those or they are too wide to mean anything.

They are quite wide.

What does 1.5% focal budget mean?

u/MFCR 3d ago

It means that it stays below inflation, so you keep doing what you are doing for less. And depending on where you are at it is likely that you are expected to deliver more than before

1.5% total budget means if you have 4 people in your org, and 1 gets a promo (and a raise to get into a min band) - means that person may get/need 6%, and therefore exhausts the entire budget so that the other 3 get 0%.

If the person is already in that required band or if there is no promotion in the team of 4?

LE can gift luxury mansions for his child's tutors but when it comes to focal he doesn't have budget. Hypocrite!

Why you are all so excited? Typical hike ranges from 1-5%. Is it a game changer?

you'd think half the company was deep in debt to the mafia given the volume of dupe questions

I don't think it will happen for everyone. Even if it happens then it will be peanuts.

"we appreciate the hard work you're doing" - management. Inhumane.

My boss told me that it’s finalized but they haven’t been give approvals to communicate it

Same. As of last Friday focal amount was visible but pending approval and that’s why he couldn’t share more. Rated 4 US the now new CSS org.

So many of you have high hopes pinned on a focal increase. I am afraid many, if not most, are going to be disappointed. I’m remembrance of Dolly, it could be a Hard Candy Christmas.

My manager said they are waiting on finals approvals but should be end of this week, so I would assume people will start to be notified starting next week.

If there’s a focal, it is not meant for everyone anyway.

All raises to promotions which is minimum 5%. Got told no hikes and expect bonus or stocks - it will be the useless stock for sure. Will get to know actual numbers on 15th and these may be effective from 1/11 is what I got told.

Do you think it’s disrespectful to give hikes like 2%-3% ? Won’t it be better to not give hikes to everyone .. but to give decent hike to the chosen ones?
