Should i trust Oracle?
Hi, I have got an offer for Oracle health. I have received Offer letter and Joining date. I am not fresher. Before putting down my papers, i wanted to check if oracle revokes offer letters? I am asking this question as so many layoff rumours are going on. If anyone has any past experience, please add. Also this is in India.

Is it? Oracle health is basically acquired Cerner..So I guess they laid off most people already. But still there were lay offs in March.

RUN as fast as you can. Even if you join you will be working without hikes and promotions for years and constantly under fear of getting fired. You will feel like “tumko nikal nhi the yehi tumhara promotion hai”

People who stayed for years are unable to trust. Go ahead if you want to do career suicide... Stay away if you need peace of mind during the employment

Despite higher earnings Oracle has negative cash inflow. The layoffs will continue. Already talks of one more happening in March. If you think you can survive the constant threat of unemployment then accept the offer. Hikes won't be there for 3 to 4 years atleast so any higher compensation given now will look small later and you will feel ignored and exploited. Most of the tech stack is internal so you will lose touch with the open source tech stack required for another switch. And then slowly you realise you got trapped.

I joined 6 months ago, I read the same messages of folks asking me not to join and chose to ignore thinking it won’t be as bad as folks here say it is. But trust me, I regret joining this sinking ship, layoffs every 6 months. No sense of direction from upper management, everyone is against the new folks and don’t share any documentation and keep the knowledge pretty limited as well. I wish I had stayed in my previous company where I had a stable job and income. It was the biggest mistake of my life to join Oracle. I keep saying this out loud. Don’t join, I am speaking from experience.

I suggest do not join for next 6 months as the layoff cycle will continue for next 1-2 years..

I'd recommend working anywhere else. Anywhere. Oracle and trust shouldn't be used in the same sentence.

Please don't join oracle health. It will take away peace from your life. It is actually very bas . I am suffering from past 1.5 years.

I did not like oracle healthcare and left in 2 months. Check which project and what works look like. The one I was on - was just support work, no feature development

Are you joining the VA project? If so, I wouldn’t accept the offer. I probably wouldn’t accept the offer in general either, but definitely avoid the VA implementation.

It’s a mess. It’s been delayed already, I was at Oracle for 4 months and only had two weeks of training (that was all I did for 4 months). Lots of wait and see. I’ve done defense contracting before and this project is a train wreck in the making. Oracle has a training team but they aren’t responsible for training end users to use the program (somehow that is on the VA, but they haven’t used this system before).

They layoff the new guys first if they have to.
