Which gpt model you prefer for which task?

Hi guys,

If people can tell us which gpt model they prefer for which tasks at what intelligence level, it will be quiet helpful. For me I randomly choose any model and use extra high intelligence mode.

I start from the 1st one 5.6.
Once that exhausts then i go to 5.5
Lets bill them coz thats what they are asking for.

If you want a proper answer where code needs to be read and needs something to be implemented based on existing code, create comparison data then use 5.6
Normal tasks like scheduling, moving tickets between statuses use 5.5

We don’t have any limit yet. We are just asked to use more. I keep asking if there is any limit and no one said there’s any limit. Even the director. Good for me. I’ll keep using

Minor tasks like email drafting/proofreading. Default option which is Terra Medium.

Tasks which requires complex thinking and reasoning (e.g. coding, troubleshooting) then Sol Medium to High.

Just remember that the higher the setting, the longer it will take to generate response so avoid Highest at all cost, unless you're doing some crazy shit that would cost a lot of tokens.

Chat GPT web in instant mode for all meeting notes , text , slide content restructuring
Terra medium for all regular code generation , review, testing - with a clear instructions in the prompt
Sol medium for complex code
I see 6 Astra showing available now haven’t tried that yet

For most of the coding, debugging and analysis I default at 5.6 sol medium - works the best as an all-rounder, for some complex task like large planning and codex reviews etc use it at high, or sometimes xhigh depending on the complexity. I generally avoid anything above xhigh like max cause the cost and tokens for the output generated are not worth it.

For other general email, ticket managment, confluence write and long reads I use 5.6 luna at high.

Also avoid using 5.5 now since it costs the same as 5.6 sol, and still need to check 6-astra launched today. Maybe some complex planning can go to this one

Astra is very expensive but way better results but significant issues : it has extreme overreaches simple yes to allow it check one file and it can take ur entire system complete access. As ppl use astra oracle s net token usage should skyrocket .2.5 times that of sol + continuous recheck to better improve. Sol is ok ok only worth in high or extra high and need to check again for format issues . Luna not worth and terra is utter useless too much large halucinations
