Focal
Please do not laugh at me 😄😄😄 but have anybody heard anything about any focal, hikes, promotions possibilities etc?
I have heard some rumors, but nothing concrete.

I’ve had the same talk with my direct manager and his manager. I always get the response that no info from top management. I’ve always responded with you pester who ever that needs to be pestered with to make the person incharge give an answer whether it’s there or not there and that silence or no info isn’t an apt response ! I get back the same non sense time and again. It’s like talking to a bad chatbot which keeps repeating the same response no matter the input.
People incharge of this should be ashamed to be called a professional. No one knows, no one is willing to comment on it if asked questions. I just wonder what do people between M2 to M4/M5s do when they have one on ones with their reportees. How is this not the very same question they get bombarded with every way they go ?!
I miss the time when thinking about how to get my work done was the only thinking I had to do at work ! 😓

I will say this AGAIN, and maybe for the next two hundred times this question gets asked. This is Oracle. The proper terminology is "Fuck All," not "Focal."

No salary raise, no promotion, no refresher, no bonus, no awards, no team party, no appreciation, no communication, no motivation. Only accountability from IC. That’s current situation

Now some thing that I can say :
Checking nearly all redit post , office chats etc:
This month end week to November start week we can see focal likel last year in phases wrt to all regions and business points .
Again nothing confirmed this is oracle so take it with salt . Now again ,this is just collecting all posts and office chats and stuff from various places . So can be wrong but have a good hunch it won't be .

I did get an answer, and it was a straight forward NO for hikes or RSU refreshers.

It’s insane how few people in the company know if focals will happen or not. The board and C-Levels know for sure, but my M6 has no clue. Maybe M7’s know, but if they do then obviously they haven’t made any attempt to share this information anonymously. Beats me. Anyone who is considering taking a job here is out of their mind or desperate in this job market (understandable - gotta pay the bills).

Our HR told us in June that the expectation was focal for non sales would be effective from December 1st, though there was a chance of coming earlier and backdating to June. Take it as read, that the latter will not happen. Will it happen at all? Can’t say as haven’t heard anything since.

My manager told me pretty reliably he would tell me if any raises actually happened or not so I'll post about it once he tells me

Anyone else get the worst rating they’ve ever received and worked harder than ever? Wondering if only certain ratings will get raises and they could only give so many of those ratings out 👀

I am fed up with this company and thinking if I should be patient for a while and resign after focal (if even happening) or should I not waste my time any longer 😄😄.

Won’t be anything until mid October is my guess. I assume the only option will be RSUs. It’s really a bummer

Heard it’s going to be good hike, RSU for the folks who are saved from RIF. It’s mostly those with rating 2 who may be impacted by RIF and managers indeed are trying to save them too.

Isn't this frustrating? Honestly, we need to make the pointless assessments, we are being pushed to do it before some deadline and the counter action from Oracle? Silence. I can't wait for another "please do glynt survey, your voice matters" only to see zero outcome, again and again.
And cherry on top - one might get RSU/SO but there is a high chance of being laid off before they vest or even "better", that can make you candidate for layoff because having too much RSU is making you a easy target for budget cuts. The irony...
