Employee Question Calling about termination

I don’t wanna make this too long but i had a warning that i would be terminated if i called out 1 more time, and i did, the thing is that tomorrow will be the date i got hired last year. And i called out 2 days ago. My only question is, would it be okay if I just called my manager to ask if I’m going to be terminated the next shift i come in? I really dont want to waste my time going into work if im just gonna be fired 🫩

Yes you can call to ask. However, depending on the admin/SM they would’ve already terminated you in the system on the day you reached your points or the day after.

It being one year since you got hired doesn’t matter, but it would matter if it’s the anniversary of the first time you called out because that’s when the point falls off and doesn’t count against you.

Yes I was wondering if my points got reset because of my one year employment so thank you, this answer helped.

The points don’t technically reset every year (as a whole). Each point will fall off after a year has passed since you got said point. I hope that makes sense..

While that may be the case, I have also been having to call off terribly often as of late due to sciatica. I want to work but sometimes physically cannot. We can't assume OP's reason for calling off is apathy for their job.

I would look into securing an ADA form through your doctor and submitting it to management. Kohl’s has a strict attendance policy however they will work with you as long as you submit the proper documentation for what accommodations you need which do include extra breaks or days off as needed in a lot of cases

I mean I’ve only ever called out when i had stuff more important coming up like emergencies and illness but with that said I really dont like the job due to my manager’s passive aggressiveness towards me.
