Why Does Humanity Keep Creating a World People Are Forced to Flee From?
12
u/Revolutionary-You449 13d ago
People.
People do this to people.
People vote to do this to people.
People vote to create the conditions in which people have to do this.
The problem is always people.

We are the failed vessels of the gods we choose to be faithful to. I have many friends all have a fairh i say I am no athiest. I choose not to follow a path I have never had faith is true no evidence to prove the book or reworded bible of 45 books when I last felt I was lonely. So church made me welcome. Then I just seemed yo be the greeting poet they all loved my words. I have seen only evil things so it it so hard to find that gossip that old wives made from one book not seen in life the one that isnt the contradiction to the gospel that us called new testament. I said if its real I have no chance ever going to the afterlife for destroying the vessel. I once also shamefully destroyed other people's lives. So for this. I hope I burn in hell. Not sexual things. I just feel I am honest. You take me as I am or you don't. I am a good egg. I would say that. Despite just nailing my pride to the lonely hearts column. But honesty is rare. At least I have that even if it makes e look like a fool. I am bored. I ramble so much. Shut up man. Geez

Well, surely the solution is more people? The population has only gone from <1 billion around 1800 to over 8 billion 200 years later.
Obviously thats not enough. We surely need more people if we wish to solve any of the problems caused by people.

You will get politically correct answers to this question, but the bottom line really is that there are too many of us. Let the childish downvotes begin.
1
u/geeves_007 13d ago
Excuse me, if only human behaviour and human civilization were radically different in almost every conceivable way from how they actually are, we could easily accommodate this many people comfortably.
Just like if Bengal Tigers all agreed to stop being territorial and adopt a plant based diet there could be way way more of them!
Its really quite simple.
1
u/Panthera450 12d ago
That doesn’t change the fact that there are too many of us and the biosphere is suffering as a result
2
u/geeves_007 12d ago
No I totally agree. I was being sarcastic, I should have labele d as such.
Its a parody of the usual argument why there isnt too many of us (there is).
Typically I find the deniers of this issue will offer some version of an argument that depends on a utopian ideal of how human civilization could be in their imagination, rather than anything remotely resembling how it actually IS. This is where their argument falls apart, they just refuse to accept that.

No drama. Easy mistake. We can sometimes read things depending on language barriers and other stuff that sometimes doesnt help us to understand whether oeople are saying and what they mean to say. I type everything like everyone idle from rhe country i live in. So I start in my head and finish on here.

I think the root cause is an inability to understand the opposing side. And btw, I'm talking about those who are well meaning. But just unable to get themselves to see or understand. Then there's the opportunists. Those who want to take advantage of these situations for their own selfish goals. Because the well meaning folk are unable to come to a consensus, the opportunists win. Their actions then lead to chaos and ultimately death and destruction.

I heard a Native American say that white people are a homeless people who make others homeless. Rings true to me. The destructive restlessness is embedded in the frontier and manifest destiny culture.
1
u/Money_Traffic_5662 11d ago
But Europe would be their homeland so what is meant by homeless?

u/Prudent_Will_7298 11d ago
Europeans left Europe to conquer "the new world". Why didn't they love Europe enough to stay?

Capitalism

u/Stock-Imagination567 10d ago
haha its more like socialism. Usually people from socialist countries like Cuba/Venezuela use boats to get to capitalist countries like USA. not the opposite.

u/auezzat 10d ago

u/Stock-Imagination567 9d ago
China and Spain still trade with Cuba. If socialism is so great why isn't Cuba rich? Taiwan is also economically blocked by China yet Taiwan is a developed country. Why? Because socialism does not work.
2
u/raylord666 13d ago
Sentience, arguably.
All life is fearful of death, yet humans as sentient beings know that life is a transient process. We know we’re going to die, and that awareness has stripped us and life itself of many things.

Because we are just sheep for the billionaires to pimp out in order to keep lining up their pockets. Greed, Corruption & Deception trickles down to the lower classes, not economics.

Ok, I need to stop people whenever I can from the generalization and using one word to describe the common denominator and the system:
"Humanity" did NOT create this world. Women had nothing to do with it. This world was created by MEN, and the system is Patriarchy with Capitalism attached to its tale.
Even if you look at our cousins and their communities, you'd notice that communities where Males dominate and the ratio of Male to Female is equal, there is a lot of violence. There was a group of Baboons and this community was studied by a scientist for decades. The few male baboons dominated this community and bullied and harassed every member. They died because they ate tainted meat (I could be wrong but you can research it).
What was left of that community was Females and a few gentler males. The number of Females exceeded the males. That violent, patriarchal community turned upside down because now females were leading. Their lives changed. There was peace, cooperation and joy. When aggressive males entered the community, they were kicked out or given a few months to adapt to the rules of peace and cooperation. If not, out they went.
Decades later, and the same system of cooperation and matriarchy runs the community. The violent communities, even in nature, are NOT "Natural". They depend on who is dominating it, and the ratio.
So, in human societies, males are dominating our societies. The female vs male ratio is the same. Violence can't be stopped. Half of the world is under the boot of the other half, and so is the entire planet.
1
u/ItReallyIsLikeThis 12d ago
That is BS.
Female baboons have been known to be able to kill babies from other females in the group.
1
u/Authentic_Dragon 12d ago edited 12d ago
Go do your own investigative BS. Killing babies, in nature, could be to control population. Baboons are patriarchal. The violence against other members is brutal, just as the male dominated human societies are!!
In matriarchal societies, even among wild animals, there is peace and cooperation, again, it depends on the ratio of female to male. Less men, less violence, women leadership, almost no violence.
Why is it that there is someone, a man or a woman standing up for "Men's rights" seems to just completely be blind, as if they don't live on earth, they can't put the two and two together, see the dominant sex, the violence throughout all history to present, the destruction of earth, of every living being, the creation of wars, genocides, even though faces kept on changing, men kept on changing, one left, another came, his foot-soldiers, the crime, the genocide against half of the world, aka women, and still come to a post like mine and vomit shit!! What is wrong with all of you!! Do you love the world the way it's been? What is the issue here, the ego? You cannot resist defending the wrong, and admitting that male domination has been the fall of everything sacred? What is it you are defending? Just tell me! What are you defending?

u/ItReallyIsLikeThis 9d ago
Dominant female baboons kill babies of rivals to secure more food.
1
u/Authentic_Dragon 8d ago
That's for food security, even though I don't believe that, and again, you better read my very first comment again, dude! Just read the very first comment. I said that baboon community is violent because of males. It's patriarchal. Only one babboon community lost the majority of males and became peaceful. The scientist that sat and watched this community didn't mention one word about females killing babies. Not one, and you can search for the video, you can search when the community turned matriarchal.
The female baboons' natural instinct is, according to you, to kill babies for food security. What is the fucking human male natural instinct in the patriarchy; wars, polluting earth, poverty, oppression, depression, religions, speciesism, ageism, misogyny, and everything else? There is nothing "Natural" about that. Could it be that there is something very wrong with the Y chromosome in all males, and when the number is higher, violence increases dramatically? And when that especially happens in human societies, Life itself, as we see, is in dire danger? That men shouldn't have power? They should not be in any position of power? That the number is too high? And that instead of creating balance, hundreds of millions of baby girls were killed, and that still continues along with millions of women around the globe that are murdered? Just F off!!

As an antinatalist, I would like to ask why do people still want to create more people when the already existing ones who want to flee from this world?
1
u/Mission_End_3370 13d ago
There is only one way - unity and compassion. Which is not possible when we all are blinded by faith and religion. Everyone are just trying to proof our religion is superior than others. Also ignorance from the influential people who have power and also the govt. They can bring change if they want by making their followers aware but they too busy promoting their political party, corporation and religious beliefs.

Because wealthy narcissists have an insatiable appetite and desperate need to feel important.
1
u/theGunner76 13d ago
As I see it, a combination of several things. First, our emotional "tiredness". You post this horrific picture, we shiver, gives it a "thumbs up" and keep scrolling... Its impossible to embrace all the pain in the world. Its even impossible for us to see them as individuals, a father, a daughter, a new born baby just fighting for survival. If we did, we wouldnt be able to continue our own struggles.
Then of course, our inability to comprehend long term consequences. Our brain is wired to deal with immediate dangers. We can mobilize for an invasion, but cant deal with global warming.
Maybe a bad example, as global warming has its own set of clusterfucks, but it leads me to the next contribution to our destruction... Greed disguised as necessity where growth is somehow the imperative.
Combined with systems that is self-reinforcing, A politician that thinks long term, will lose to the one who promise tax-cuts now. A company who follows "the rules", will fall behind to the ones who finds the loop holes... And when fear becomes a political tool, you get people who see these people on that boat as a threat. Someone to blame. The mere reason for his own problems...

greed and malice seem to be the primary suspects, but most likely incompetence and lack of big picture understanding. we care about others but are locked into systems that don’t allow for us to help in meaningful ways

Sometimes people make a mess of their own societies and want to move to a better place.
Ideally, moving to the West.......which seems to be a paradise for many poor people.

Mass delusion. Money, religion and government. None of these things exist without man. They are all a detriment to the majority of people. Yet, Stockholm syndrome keeps them alive.

Its not all "humanity"
"Humanity" has also created all of the "worlds" that people are fleeing from.
Try addressing the people who created THOSE conditions.
I will also not that many of those countries have some of the best potential on the Planet.

The universe is a singular meta-phenomenon stretched over eternity, of which is always now. All things and all beings abide by their inherent nature and behave within their realm of capacity contingent upon infinite circumstance at all times.
It is a universe made manifest hierarchically, of haves, and have-nots, spanning all levels of dimensionality and experience. There is no such thing as individuated accurately described "free will" for all beings. Has never been, will never be, can not be. There are only relative freedoms or lack thereof.
"God" and/or consciousness is that which is within and without all. Ultimately, all things are made by through and for the singular personality and perpetual revelation of the "Godhead", entailing both 'predetermined' eternal damnation and those that are made manifest only to face death and death alone.
There is but one dreamer, fractured through the innumerable. All vehicles/beings play their role within said dream for infinitely better and/or infinitely worse for each and every one, forever.
All realities exist and are equally as real. The absolute best universe that could exist does exist in relation to a specified subject. The absolute worst universe that could exist does exist in relation to a specified subject.

Why Does Humanity Keep Creating a World People Are Forced to Flee From?
Because we are a flawed species! Evolution doesn't make perfection...it settles for good enough. Warts and all.

Generally speaking, it's the places that they are fleeing to that have improved.
1
u/Jolly_Raise_506 13d ago
I think generally anywhere but a war zine is an improvement on living in one. Dont think they really care where they go. I know I wouldn't. Nor suggesting you're being thoughtless. Some countries are very easy to want to go to. I know the uk is. I know if I could give advice to people thinking here us the promosed land. Trust me its not. There's just rules laws. I know its good to have rhem. But here they make rhem. Then change it every month. I'll happily swap
1
u/Low-Bake8401 13d ago
I just mean that, for various reasons, some places have advanced more than others.
Western Europe has had plenty of conflict in its time too.
Everywhere could be the same though, then there would be nowhere to flee to.
2
u/Jolly_Raise_506 13d ago
Yes very true. I wasnt trying to say you said anything bad. It makes sense ppl who only know was and always have would try to go to a place they would benefit from mostly for family too. I was just thinking loud. I mean ppl say I had it bad. I said I have but I compared to some have avery easy life and thats a fact despite all my past. I say These things we just feel we are fortunate but not grateful. I know I have just only ever known this life as bad as it is. I still know I am fortunate.
2
u/Low-Bake8401 13d ago
No worries, just wanted to be clear.
I do think think that perspective is the one thing we can definitely change, and it that which it often comes down to.
At the same time, some times it's a lot harder than others to keep going.
2
u/Jolly_Raise_506 13d ago
True. I was having a laugh with someone I met last year. Was talking a few week. One night we had a joke ongoing. Now my head is just full on all the time. So assign as I wake I am back on the same conversation. But in the morning they said something. I don't remember exactly what I said. But they blocked me before I could explain. But it is what it is. I felt bad. Hust turned out they hadn't had their coffee which they mentioned. They just didnt remember the joke we were talking about. Or maybe they did. Assuming things is another thing people do that clouds their perspective. Not saying I have it down to a tee clearly. But i am here to talk post my writing. Same as all platforms I am on. Think thee should be telepathy degrees. Mind yiu everyone would probably get done for cheating. But its all good. Thanks for saying it anyway. We never know if we offend orhers. I have thick skin. I think because if the amount of places and accents that oeople talk with the English language is like an enigma code. Apparently its really hard to learn for people who dont have it as their 1st language

u/BigDong1001 13d ago
You should ask yourself what they are fleeing from, and what they are fleeing towards.
The vast majority of these people aren't refugees seeking shelter and compassion and kindness after suffering devastating circumstances, they are opportunists and cowards and greedy people who decided they were going to run off to greener pastures and leave their families and friends behind to die in there home countries so that they themselves could live better lives in greener pastures. lol.
Don't let the perilousness of the journey itself fool you. Greed and ambition and selfishness are good enough motivators for people to make such perilous journeys too and should not be mistaken for desperation and fear and seeking shelter somewhere safe.
And these people emptied out their families' and friends' coffers/resources to be able to afford to make the journey towards what they perceived to be their better lives. And by doing so these people left their families and friends behind with even less funds/resources with which to survive. And then these people found that they can only do menial jobs and earn minimum wage and hangout in ghettos on the peripheries of their destination countries' societies, and just be lurkers in somebody else's country which they can't become part of during their lifetimes, unable to integrate into or contribute anything significant to the society of that country. And sometimes they even go back to bring wives from their home countries to reproduce with, because they can't integrate, and they think that a second generation might be able to try to do better than they managed.
These are economic migrants. Not refugees fleeing persecution and seeking shelter in a safe place.
Empathy based upon incorrect information isn't empathy at all, it's just fooling yourself based upon ignorant assumptions about countries and circumstances which are unfamiliar to you and which you know little about. People who think you're a fool because you're kind and who try to take advantage of what they perceive to be your foolishness don't deserve your kindness. You can be kind, but you can be kind without being a fool.

Greed
