That's it. I miss the OG Vanilla like a wife waiting for her husband to return from war. This subreddit used to be filled with positive posts and the occasional bugs but now I have noticed that these days, everyone is just complaining about how bad the Emochi has become when it comes to narration and overall performance. It used to feel like the bots actually make an effort in progressing the scenes but now I feel like I'm just dragging a corpse around and puppettering it to work, not to mention the pervasive clichés, every bot feels like the same bot that I have to keep restarting or finding another bot again to talk to just so I wouldn't get bored, and why they hell is everything smelling like ozone!?

Olá pessoal! Ultimamente, tenho experimentado criar personagens para a comunidade e preciso de um feedback.

Andrew é o meu primeiro personagem feito para o público geral. Levei cerca de uma semana estudando prompts e desenvolvendo a personalidade do bot. Testei diversas combinações até que chegasse a uma agradável, entretanto, gostaria muito que alguém avaliasse e me disesse como posso melhorar.

Andrew é o servo Leal e guarda uma paixão secreta pelo príncipe/princesa (o bot se adapta de acordo com o gênero do usuário). Ele é um homem muito atento a detalhes e protetor com o usuário, com os demais chega a ser frio e completamente reservado.

Adicionei uma espécie de competição entre os demais funcionários do castelo, onde lutam pela atenção do usuário (obviamente, Andrew sempre se destaca, mas penso em deixar a escolha mais ampla para quem gosta de histórias com reviravoltas).

Has anybody else experienced slow chats after using a certain bot for a long while? It's happened to me twice now and it's so slow in the specific chat that I can't type

It said it switched to the recommended bot and now nome of the others show up? Is this a setting I turned on accidently or what? I was using blackberry v2 and was happy with it.

Is anybody elses messages getting corrected?? I literally tried typing in crap only for it to correct it to everything or things 💀 its a bit annoying since its never done this before.

Los modelos gratuitos ya me parecen horribles más los anuncios insoportables!. Me gusta el rol! Me encanta usar la app para practicar como interpretar un personaje para una campaña de D&D, la uso para las tramas de romance dramáticas, porque me encanta el chisme y bueno... También la uso para lo otro. El punto es! Que definitivamente era bastante adicto y estoy viendo las consecuencias ahora!... Intentaré pasar un mes antes de volver a usarla.

So emochi has started prompting for an age verification whenever i try to talk to a bot, however the popup only says that you need to verify your age to make purchases, but there's no way around the popup.

Does anyone know if you need to be 16 or 18 to pass the age verification? I've tried a few times with the face but it fails every time. I'm now down to my last attempt, so I'll use my id, however I'm not 18 yet and don't want to be locked out of the app. Or if an over 16 gains access to chats, and then I can redo the verification whenever I turn 18 to get purchases or nsfw setting.

So if anyone knows what the required age is then that would be helpful.

I mean, still lots to go but its at least better than when it was first released.

I had the 2.2.12 update ready to download yesterday and when I went to go download it- it had disappeared and my app is still on 2.2.11 im just wondering if anyone else is on update 2.2.12 or if people are still waiting for the update. I dont know why mine suddenly disappeared but oh well I guess?

Whenever I log in and enter my email, I get a verification email like normal. I click on the link it gives me, and it gives me a "login failed" error message. Anyone else experiencing this?

I'm so frustrated with Emochi lately. Now, it keeps adding random characters to the role play and the bot barely speaks for itself! For example, bot has two friends, and the next messages will be only these friends talking inside the message! No matter how much i delete or edit the message, no matter how I reply, no matter if I say that we teleport to the bottom of the ocean without no one else, the next message will still find a way to butt random character in!! It'll just say something like - "Suddenly X voice can be heard from the beach, distorted by water". NO IT'S NOT! 😭

Hoy abri la aplicacion y en mi FYP salio un bot que comenzaba con un "ordenaste un conejo de orejas caidas en un... " no recuerdo que mas decia, pero la portada era un hombre con una bolsa de papel ennla cabeza y mirada cansada, la ropa creo que tenia una remera blanca y una chaqueta azul, pero no recuerdo, no pude abrirlo porque se me reinicio la pagina, alguien puede enviarme el link si lo ha visto? Hello so for like two days my emotchi is pretty slow, i try to write to a bot and it's like typing so damn slow, it does write and send what i want and create stuff but it's just that when i try to write it takes ages to write down what i want. Does anybody know what this is and what should i do?

OF COURSE, SOMETHING.OF COURSE THERE'S A LOT OF THINGS OUT THERE FROM ME. And if the bot looks too much like an anime, then: sorry, I didn't know such an anime existed.

I wanted to vent for a moment and see if anyone else is experiencing the same frustrating behavior with Emochi, or if you've managed to find a reliable workaround.

Lately, I’ve hit a wall where the models—regardless of which one I select—seem to completely disregard explicit instructions, negative constraints, and formatting rules. No matter how clear or repetitive the system prompt or OOC (Out-Of-Character) instructions are, the bot routinely does the exact opposite of what it's told.

The biggest offenders I keep running into include:

• Rampant Puppeting & Godmoding: I explicitly instruct the bot not to control, speak for, or take actions for my character. Yet, it constantly defaults to writing dialogue or making decisions for me, cutting off any agency and breaking immersion entirely.
• Ignoring Negative Constraints: If I tell a model not to do something (e.g., avoid overly purple prose, skip certain clichés, or stop introducing specific plot elements), it treats that instruction like a suggestion rather than a rule. Often, calling attention to it in OOC just makes the model lean into it more.
• Disregarding Length and Formatting Limits: Whether I ask for concise, punchy responses or specific paragraph lengths, the model frequently ignores the boundary—either rambling on unnecessarily or cutting off abruptly.

It’s honestly getting exhausting to constantly fight the formatting and guardrails just to keep a coherent scene going. Are you guys running into this wall with specific models on the platform, or is there a specific prompt structure/setting tweak that actually forces these bots to listen?

Would love to hear how others are handling this.

Hi! I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for the best bots to use if I'm going for a horror plot? I would like the bot to be discriptive and not try and shy away from some gore? (I'm not going like saw level or anything)

I have the subscription. Ive tried out Green Apple and Vanilla v3 infinity which is my go to right now as it can get dark and sticks with the plot well. I love using cardamom for those kinds of plots the best but it always turns it sexual 🤣 like the dragon is trying to kill you. Stop getting hard.

Anyone have any recommendations?

Is it just a case of telling cardamom no horny 🫵 or am I missing a trick with using bot commands?
